We always pop into this cafe on our regular visits to alte. My inlaws live in the village and a trip into town for groceries and to run errands always includes a stop off for cake and coffe or fresh orange juice here. Deserts are always fresh and delicious. Small terrace out the back on the balcony is lovely for... More

popped in for a late lunch after spending a couple of hours discovering this beautiful village. 2 coffees and 2 toasted sandwiches and cakes which were huge and amazing plus sitting on the balcony in 23 deg c overlooking the beautiful countryside PERFECT end to a day out. would highly recommend this little café.

The traditional Algarve cakes are fabulous here. It is the best pastry shop in the Algarve region. If you are looking for the tradicional cakes from the Algarve this is the right place.

Pastéis de nata was served warm which is a plus since most café serve theirs cold. However the crust was rather dry and not crunchy. Still a nice place for a break when everything else was mostly closed in... More

If you appreciate cake and coffee then don't miss this opportunity! The taste and quality is beyond what I have ever tried. Also the atmosphere both inside and outside is relaxing and makes you feel comfortable. The service is nice and warm.

My wife and i went to this lovely cafe from the airport as we had landed too early to check into our villa. I had read up about this place on TA and were looking forward to the cakes after such excellent reports. We were not disappointed. The selection was amazing. I think we tried most of them during our... More
