Pleasant enough surroundings and the food was fresh and well cooked but lacked that certain something to make the dishes special.

A traditional taverna with the best food being the local traditional foods - beef stamna and lamb kleftiko. It was very quiet/less busy than the other restaurants we visited over the two week holiday so good if you like quiet or have forgotten to make a reservation elsewhere!

We had a great night eating, drinking and dancing at Stamna. Ignore other negative reviews as this traditional family run restaurant exceeded all our expectations. Food was excellent, the life music especially the bazouki player and key board player created a fantastic atmosphere. We all tried different choices on the menu and had a fantastic meal with fresh food and... More

The place is nice but it is completely touristic! We ordered the meat pie which is a traditional local plate but it was awful! We also had grilled meat but again it was poor! The prices are not the one for a Greek tavern!

First problem was the first of the two meals came out roughly 10-15 minutes after ordering and contained bland rubbery chicken. The second problem was the second meal didn't come out until 40 minutes later, why would people eating together want their meals so far apart? A fanta was ordered from the welcoming of our server asking if we wanted... More

The food was awful, the beans were out of a can, the stuffed vegetables smelled bad and were at least a week old, the dolmades were out of a can. The worst thing that they charged us for two mixed fish dishes when we ordered only one. The owner tried to convince us that the prices were reasonable, and also... More

We were here in July 2016 and waited 2.5 hours for our main meals to arrive, and they never did! We had 4 hingry children with us and by 10.30pm they were starving. Not only were the restaurant staff not apologetic, they used all sorts of excuses, none were valid and none excused the lies we were told that night,... More

While in Trapezaki we visited the Stamna three times despite our first experience being less than perfect. Having ordered 'Gigantes' (butter beans in a herby garlic-tomato sauce) I was served with baked beans a la Heinz (!!). This was followed by swordfish when I had ordered fish fillets in 'kefalonian garlic sauce'. Having decided to give them another chance we... More
