Unfriendly and rude welcome. Don't bother. I would rate this zero stars if I could so a rating of one is generous. We were visiting for the weekend and wanted a nice dinner in a dog friendly environment. Having got through the door to be...More

I don't think I have ever written a terrible review, but fellow tourists need a warning. Entered the bar area to be greeted with a throughly warm welcome of the off duty bar maid "Put your dog on a lead!". The dog was right by...More

We went here for a meal saturday night having lived here for nearly 10 years and been constantly disappointed with every single pub we have visited. This place is undergoing an extension but the renovations so far are very pleasing and as it was saturday...More

With alot of birthdays in March and April we often get together as a family to eat out sometime over the 'birthday season'. Having been to the Rydon Inn before and enjoyed the whole experience I suggested this as the venue. With a 4 year...More

First impressions are very good upon arrival, plenty of space and very clean. The menu was plentiful and varied and the staff were extremely polite and eager to help with any request. My chicken wing starter was a large portion of quality, fresh wings that...More

4 of us ate here Saturday night, staff friendly and helpful, found us a table to allow our dog to sit quietly with us. Garlic mushrooms and cheesy (very) garlic bread to start with were divine. Butterfly chicken on new potatoes and veg in a...More

Was blown away by the presentation and quality of our meals. Fantastic food highly recommend. My scallops were cooked to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised by the total bill cost.

Description
The Rydon Inn is a converted traditional Devon Long House, it has been beautifully developed, with high vaulted ceilings exposing all the beam work in the main pub area, this also includes an unconventional thatched bar. The idealiac conservatory eating area over looks our large landscaped gardens and peaceful lake which houses outdoor seating for those long summer evenings. There is a pool table to keep you and the kids entertained. If you would like something a little more private we have our restaurant in the original part of the Devon Long House, which is ideal for more secluded smaller group meetings or dinners.
