Whilst staying on Boat of Garten over Easter weekend we tried to get a table on Friday evening but they were full so we booked for the following evening. The staff were welcoming, great with our 9 year old granddaughter and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent - good portions served hot. The children's menu is not just the... More

We stopped here for a "quick" sandwich and it took over 45 minutes to be served. We each had a different type of sandwich and they were awful. I had a ham and cheese and the ham was the cheap thin stuff you get at the grocery store. The cheese was grated from a package of preheated cheese and it... More

Stayed for a couple of nights mid week a couple of weeks ago. The staff were very welcoming and we had a really nice room with lovely views. The only thing I would comment on in relation to the accommodation is that the bathroom floor had not been fully cleaned with previous water spillages from the previous guests who stayed... More

Stayed in this hotel for a weekend and used a gift voucher to partially pay our bill. The food in the restaurant was good and the staff very pleasant. Great views from our room which looked over the steam railway station. The village is nice too, with a couple of shops and a cafe/restaurant. The surrounding area is excellent all... More

Fish, scampi, steak, burgers- all of the standard favourites with chips and generous proportion sizes. Big sofas by a log fire, good for a large glass of red or a pint after a day on cold mountains!

Stayed here for a two night stay in January 2917, in a classic double room, and are in the bar in both nights. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was clean, warm and very comfortable. The meals both nights were excellent and I would recommend a visit. The only downside was the cooked breakfast and the porridge,... More

A definite change of direction since our last visit. More of a bistro style menu - food was excellent. The bar area offers more seating space to encourage a 'meeting place feel' which is very positive. Staff are very friendly although very busy!! Well done to all concerned for the changes you are making!!

We visit Aviemore twice a year and found this little spot by mistake but was surprised how good the food was so we have always gone back. In fact it used to be the highlight of my wives Aviemore visit. And we've always been pleased with their food and service However, this time was very disappointing. We visited twice as... More
