Came for quick lunch on way home from cumbria. Good selection of ales as expected. Good jacket potatoe and cheese and tomato toastie. Salad was cold too (not on a warm bowl or plate for ages).

Tuesdays in Spoons is Steak Nite for us and The Counting House is a great place to visit. A former bank it has retained lots of character. The staff are friendly, service is efficient, and the food is great value. I have a 14oz Angus Rump with a side order of Onion Rings...the boss goes for smaller 8oz Angus Rump... More

I have to say that I have held a rather unfair stereotypical view of Wetherspoon’s for some time now, and haven’t visited one for several years. However, I have to say I can only say good things about The Counting House. The service I find to be very quick and friendly, the manageress seems to have a very good grip... More

As a professional breakfast consumer, I often search far and wide for a quality, value for money breakfast. For the past 2 years the counting house has never let me down. Hot, fresh produce served with a smile. The counting house has not gone commercial and still has that traditional family friendly good old pub. Keep up the good work

CALLED HERE FOR A MEAL ON ARRIVING IN CONGLETON. Food was lovely, Becky the manageress was very pleasant. Generous size meals and well worth the prices you pay. Will be returning.

Called in here on a Saturday morning for a coffee and a sausage bap.All tables seemed to be occupied.I was annoyed to see many had empty cups and glasses yet sat nattering when they should be asked by staff to leave as tables are needed.I eventually found an unsuitable upright high table and was told by the person who served...
