Good atmosphere, with a lot of character and style. Exellent service, the Chef will come around to tell you about the dishes and the story of the place. Enjoyable experiance, intersting food, very nice set up and attention to details. A very good option 15 minutes drive away from the center of Dunkerque

Old style French haute cuisine, not up there with the greats but very enjoyable all the same. On a wet Thursday lunchtime the large, elegant dining room was completely full. The waiters were old school; you could imagine you were in the Ritz or the Savoy. From the main road the building looks nondescript, faintly forbidding, but on the other... More

It was my partner's birthday whilst we were in France and we wanted to go somewhere special - with this restaurant we hit the jackpot. It is located on a main road which should be off-putting, however, once you are inside the restaurant you are a world away. The service was impeccable with Mons. Hazebroucq providing more information on the... More

En route from London to Bruges by car, we disembarked the ferry at Dunkirk shortly after noon and wanted to have a nice lunch before the drive to Bruges. Googling restaurants near Dunkirk showed a number of sites (e.g., Michelin Guide, Trip Advisor) showing Le Soubise, and it was rated highly by all. So we stopped without reservations (pun intended)... More

We have been coming here on and off for years and the wonderful thing is that it doesn't change. The decor is top notch, the napery and table settings are just so, and the whole ambience is one of luxury. In addition to this, the service is friendly and the food excellent. What more can we say? This is France... More

The restaurant is in quite an attractive building just moments off the Autoroute. The surrounding area is not particularly attractive but clearly Le Soubise is a dining destination in itself. The inside is quite formal with the large kitchen visible through a glass wall as you arrive and the dining room in semi classical style with part panelled walls and... More

We were returning to the Channel Tunnel and saw this restaurant on TA and decided to give it a try. Boy were we glad that we did. The restaurant is very easy to find just off Jct. 60 of the Ostend/Calais road.Do not be put off by the somewhat plain exterior the food inside is anything but plain. Superb, classic... More
