Went for a meal with with 6 colleagues and the whole meal was spot on. Great choice in a stone flagged restaurant with enough ornaments and horse brasses to fill 3 markets. Good service, good menu and excellent food. Lovely place to chat and enjoy a relaxed meal and apparently very good accommodation. Definitely worth a visit

What a lovely pub/restaurant. Really warm cosy welcoming bar with open fire and eating area with a nice atmosphere/decor. The serice was excellent just like the food! Will definitely recommend and revisit.

Have visited a number of times. The food is always good. Service this time was a little slow (having the waitress also acting as a quizmaster in the bar didn't help I suspect !) and an order was wrong - this was corrected without any problem but still meant one of our party waiting for the correct dish whilst everyone... A busy pub come restaurant with good beer and food. In need soon of some refurbishment. We initially were by an exit door and on a poor table but were moved on request to something more comfortable. Plenty of families and Chiltern walkers with dogs. Can be noisy.

Superb food, freshly prepared and served with a smile. I had a starter and a main meal and both were superb. The food was fresh, hot and exceptionally tasty. I would recommend the food here.

My first visit was with a friend who had been before. The lunch time menu was quite large plus specials. We both had the fish pie which was delicious and not heavy like in many places. The veggies with them were very well cooked and different to most other pubs. My apologies to the chef because I couldn't eat them... More

Very nice roast dinner on a Sunday, lovely gravy!! Drinks are expensive but they always are at Fullers pubs.

Five of us had the New Years Eve dinner at the Ivy House last night. The food was all good and the service and entertainment excellent. We were particularly happy with the special efforts the kitchen made to cook food for one of our party that has food allergies. Thank you to the whole team for a lovely evening.

Although I grade the overall experience as 'poor', the ambiance in the restaurant was good. It was a busy evening just before Christmas when we visited and the service was slow but friendly and helpful. As we were in no hurry, we weren't too concerned about the slow service. My husband and son both had starters which were of average... More

Dear Drina. I sincerly apologise that your visit was not up to the standards which I expect from us here at The Ivy House. I will be sure to speak to our chefs who prepare and cook the Pork Belly and Seabass, which should both be equally as delicious as our lamb shank. Thank you for your comments these help... More
