We were travelling around the Niagara Falls, Wainfleet area and thought we would cruise through Dunnville for the first time. Just by chance we came across the Dunnville Chip Wagon and thought we would give it a try. They have a nice big parking lot...and a bunch of picnic tables in a covered and open setting. It's a popular place and there's a bit of a line up so we joined the queue while we looked at their massive menu. There was sign advertising their Shawarma Poutine, so right away I knew I had to give that a try and my wife wanted the Perch on a bun, which should be fresh because it was probably caught that morning in the lake. It took about 15-20 minutes for our order, which I was surprised by, but there was a sign warning that they serve good food - not fast food so be prepared for a bit of a wait. But boy-oh-boy was it worth the wait!!! I have to say that their poutine was probably one of the best poutines I have ever had in my life! and it was the very first poutine that I did not have to put salt or pepper on to flavour it! The Shawarma meat, sauce and hot sauce was an incredibly tasty treat, which I had never experienced before!! The onion rings were very tasty and my wife really, really enjoyed her Perch on a a bun. Definitely give them a try if you're passing through - just be prepared for its popularity and a bit of a wait depending on what you order. Highly, Highly Recommended!!!!More

We went here when another place, Hippos, closed down without notice. Service was fast and friendly, very reasonably priced and cooked perfectly. Tables, etc. were clean and we will definitely return.

We went there for the Lake Erie Perch. We ordered the 1/2 Pound Perch Dinner with Fries, Tartar Sauce, and Coleslaw for $18, including tax. Both fish and fries were perfect. However, we probably should not share the fish between 2 people. There were 4...pieces of fish but the portion of each piece was not very large. The coleslaw came also in a very small container that, in my opinion, was not enough for even 1 person. The portion of French Fries was huge though.More

This place is amazing. Huge menu selection for a chip wagon. Have tried many item and they have all been huge portions and taste great. This has become our new go to place for dinners out almost weekly. Great staff, great food (made fresh when...you order).More

Best Lake Erie Perch Dinner! Portions are huge reasonable and delicious! On top of that the owner and staff are so friendly! Found it on the way out of Dunnville. Had to wait ... but worth it. The burger was large , juicey and had all the great toppings. Fries were fresh and the staff was excellrnt and a pleasure to speak to. The menu looked great...and had just about everything you'd want to eat. Would definetly be back next summer!More

Was advised by friends it was the best in the area for fish and chips. I read the reviews which were mixed On the good side. The perch is lightly battered and very good if not smaller pieces than I've had elsewhere. 🙂 On the...bad side. The chips were terrible. Seemed like they had been cooked an hour before. Shriveled up and cardboardy ☹ It was busy but not crazy so no idea why they wouldn't be hot and fresh unless it is the chips themselves.🤔 Coleslaw was no bigger than a McDonald's ketchup cup and tartar sauce portion was the same ☹ Other reviews say it depends on who's working. Guess we picked the wrong day. Found it pricey for a chipwagon with no service and picinic benches. they even have a tip bucket and the credit/debit machine puts you through the tip option automatically. 😲 Going to try the other place in town that has a patio and service for the same price I believe. Doubt I will give it a second chance.More

We ordered cheeseburgers and fries, the fries aren't crispy and the vinegar doesn't taste like anything, like it's watered down. I think they should shorten their menu and make good basics like burgers and fries
