Have gone for breakfast quite a few times. But sometimes, the waitress is just swamped with every table full. The cash only is a drag. I guess they save by not having to pay for Visa or debit? For the money though, the food is good and just enough to feel satisfied.

Going by appearance this is not a place I would think of enjoying a meal. However the food is good and at very reasonable prices. Some gourmet meals are offered at dinner including lamb. Only cash is accepted.

These owner/operators are long, long time restaurant people have been involved in many of the old time popular restaurants in Toronto and the Durham Region. The food is home made, great value and worth the stop. Just remember it's cash only though.

We travel from Oshawa to Port Perry approximately 3 times a week to eat various meals there. The owners are very friendly, the food is tasty and the prices are very reasonable. It's worth the driving time for sure! :)

Never never ever going to try or go there again. The food is average, but cheap, but the wife the server is awful. I have never experienced anything like her. I have worked in the restaurant business I would not have lasted one day with her attitude. There are sooo many other choices in Port Perry. Do not stop, keep... More

Housed in what looks like a refurbished gas station, this little restaurant is a real gem. Good food with moderate prices, friendly service and always good choices. The escargot float in a garlic sauce. The roast Lamb falls apart on your fork. The Caesar salad has a bite. All around good experience. One caution: cash only

The people who run the place are very nice and friendly. Service is quick and the food is always amazing. I'm obsessed with their Cesar salad.

A little quirky, yes, but great value for 'from-scratch' cooking - which is becoming increasingly rare. Dollar for dollar you'll get a much, much, much better meal here than any of the pre-fab, teenage-kids-in-the-kitchen, cookie cutter, box-type restaurants out there (aka Kelsey's, Caseys, Milestone, etc, etc). ps. (for laureenterry mostly) If you get sick 30 minutes after eating a meal,... More
