The restaurant had recently been redecorated and is bright and welcoming with a beautiful view of Lake Scugog. The homemade scones and butter tarts are worth the visit alone. Breakfast is my favourite time to come here. The coffee is delicious and bottomless. Eggs of all kinds are available including quiche and omelettes. Sandwiches are freshly made and delicious on... The cafe has a great location across from the park. Its a basic cafe inside. They have the run of the mill tarts and scones with a coffee. A good stop if you just want a small snack. There is a shelf of homemade treats when you walk in the door. My friend bought some jams so we will have... More

Enjoyed a great butternut squash soup and egg salad sandwich while enjoying the view of park and water. Staff have always been pleasant and helpful. Wife loves the shortbread cookies. Just a reasonable pleasant stop for lunch.

The Pantry Shelf's food is equally good to eat in or take home. The Scones, tourtiere, quiche, and of course the butter tarts are all winners. The Shepard's Pie is a great take away!

My wife and I enjoyed breakfast over looking the lake. Breakfast was good. The pecan tarts were great! It was just enough for my wife, I could have had a bigger portion.

Stopped in for lunch to this family run café. Location is right on the waterfront, and street parking is available. Food: Lots of choice for soup and sandwiches or wraps. Generally good, but not outstanding. What does merit attention is the other baked goods. Shortbread cookies have the buttery texture and taste, the meat pies are moist and flavourful without... Blueberry muffins and eggs, breakfast, lovely. The muffins, home made, sandwiches, wraps, fresh and always served with their signature relish or cutney sauce.

Stopped in to get some of these butter tarts I've heard so much about and they don't disappoint! We tried a plain and a pecan one, while both were delicious the plain ones were missing a little filling and could have used a bit more. We picked up a pack for $8.99 which is a little pricey for six but... More

This little cafe continues to provide friendly service and a limited but fresh menu. Fabulous scones and butter tarts. The soup is always homemade and yummy.
