Had two lovely dining experiences over Xmas. Reserved a place on boxing day just in case it was crowded which it was. No apparent delay in receiving our steak meals which were cooked to prefection and the nachos were fantastic

We are always amazed at the friendly staff, regardless if they are new or regular. They welcome us with open arms, and give you the time of day with a quick story or a question about your day. It has become a regular haunt of ours as we have found out that every hour is happy hour at The Currach!

I called into the Currach Irish pub for lunch and had the sharing platter. It was nicer than the standard pub food I had expected, so decided to book dinner the following night. We were warned to book - a must at this time of the year when the holiday makers invade the island. We booked a table for 7.30... More

The Currach is a delightful find on this unspoilt paradise of an Island off grid. The food is great; super fresh and great value. From a sumptious seafood chowder, succulent steaks and daily chef specials not to mention the desserts! The chef is Italian and his lasagne - made from scratch - is to die for. It is no small... The menu doesn't lie, it's delicious. We came to the Irish pub twice in our 4 day stay on the island. The first was for drinks and top notch live music mostly performed by the very talented daughter of the landlord. The second evening was for a delicious meal. Great menu, really varied and superbly presented. Highly recommended

Considering some of the challenges faced by being based on an island, the food is spectacular, and the pricing is spot on, in that you're not paying a fortune but feel like you're getting great value for what you pay. The beer is pricey but reasonable for what it costs to get them there. The staff are great and suit... More

Great atmosphere. The seafood chowder was great too. Sat around listening to the locals jamming which was an amazing thing to be part of. Highly recommend it for an authentic local experience.
