Very good buffet service food. A big variety of Peruvian dishes. An small section with appetizers, latter soups and salads followed by the main dishes (from beef, alpaca, fish, shrimps) the next part are the rices and vegetables and to complete, a table with different (about 5-6)...desserts They come with frequency to your table to ask if you need anything and to pick up empty plates Everything we ate was good and the price is very goodMore

We lunched here on our two day Colca Canyon tour with Colonial tours. The price was 30 soles per person excluding drinks, but the food was definitely worth the price. I tried a little bite of almost all dishes offered, and I enjoyed every one...of them. The quality is just as good as, if not better than the food you get in the cheap local Peruvian restaurants. Don’t hesitate if being offered the possibility to lunch here, you won’t be disappointed.More

Went to this restaurant for lunch on a two-day Colca Canyon tour with Colonial Tours. For 30 soles, you get a decent buffet meal. There is a salad bar with not only veggies but solterito, pasta salad, chips and guacamole, and ceviche. There are 3...types of soups and a few stews, as well as many fried foods (pork, banana, yucca), Lomo Saltado, a variety of Peruvian potato dishes, linguini, and grains (white rice, fried rice, and fried quinoa). Desserts include bananas, rice pudding, jello, and picarones (typical Peruvian donuts). Drinks are extra.More

Came here as a tour group. Buffet with a reasonable selection of dishes. Only complaint is we got the “tourist” price, guide said one price, menu said another, waitress said both wrong there is a third price. Would have preferred to know up front.

Our group of 8 had lunch here on arrival in Chivay and a large, varied buffet awaited us. There was something for every palate, from vegans to meat-eaters. And, we were entertained by a local duo. Delightful.

Nice all-you-can-eat buffet. Alpaca, veggie fritters, and fried bananas were our favorites, but we enjoyed everything. Staff was friendly and helpful, some nice examples of local traje (clothing) decorating the walls.

Buffet not expensive ( about 30 soles), very good soaps, drinks not included, we had lomo saltado, some chicken, quinoa, rice, guacamole with tequeños, peruvian dishes in major. Especially flavors not amazing like ceviche for example, but I recommend always try Lomo saltado, it was...pretty near to the real flavor of the dish.More

The "cafeteria" formula in Chivay restaurants is probably widespread: both lunches we have had in town adopted this formula. The restaurant itself doesn't look bad: there is a wide choice, the prices are moderate, there is the chance to eat at your will. But the...advice is to be careful about the food you choice. Despite having eaten moderately, during the afternoon after lunch I suffered severe belly problems. I guess the trout ceviche, or the guacamole, may have been responsibleMore
