Food is great! Barbara is Very friendly! We had the Alpaca in the rock, hamburger and pizza. All Very Nice. Best restaurant in town and great staff ( especially Barbara).

Food tastes great and looks good. But me and my girlfriend spend the whole evening on the toilet afterwards. Don't eat your meat medium there!

High quality food, super service, nicely presented, more than acceptable price, so everything was great! I had the alpacca steak which was outstanding. I did like the food so much that I went there again the next evening, highly reccomended!

Chivay is small and lots of restaurants appear to offer tourists buffet food. This is different and for 28 soles you can have an amazing alpaca fillet steak seared to perfection and served on a hot volcanic stone so you can control the rest of...the cooking. Served with salad and andian potatoes. It's a small family restaurant so please consider supporting this over the more touristy places. All in came to 100 soles for 2 steaks, 1/2 bottle of very good Peruvian malbec, large beer and water. Highly recommend.More

We didn’t have a bad experience, but I expected more based on TA reviews. The food was decent but not memorable. We had rib eyes (300 grams s/45) and pizza (s/30) and chicken burger (s/20). For the price, you’d expect a fancier experience or higher...quality cut meat. Nothing was bad and service was friendly though somewhat slow. They were out of like 8 menu options of the 25. The tables are too narrow for the platters they use to serve, the place is somewhat dilapidated, and they only have 4 menus so it’s clearly not a place anyone puts love into. Prices reflect something like Arequipa’s ZigZag but this was more of a half-hearted effort. I haven’t eaten dinner elsewhere in Chivay, so it may be typical for the tourist joints. They are open til 9:30 so we had no issue getting food after the planetarium.More
