A large selection to choose from. Only restaurant open in town so had to eat thereon twice. Fried Trout from first day was recycled into second days trout. Same basic foods offered, most served from day before. The lamb ribs got harder and darker in...color the second day. All food was room temperature, even though on a steam table. A few nice veggies served as salads options, sliced tomatoes, olives, hot sauce, steamed broccoli. Bananas and small shot glasses full of puddings(?) Were desert as well as some small plums.More

We stopped off here as part of our tour and lunch was already included in our tour price. Very well organised and obviously used to catering for large groups on tour buses. The food was buffet style and there was a large selection of hot...and cold dishes to choose from as well as a number of different deserts. Staff friendly and professionally and very used to dealing with coach loads of tourists. The food was nice and the atmosphere goodMore

Sometimes you cannot choose the place where you will eat and simply have to follow what your tour guide thought would be the best. Well, Chivay doesn’t seem to be a gourmet destination anyway. That is how we ended at Urinsaya and I have to...say we were pleasantly surprised. The buffet had a lot of choices and they were very fresh; the staff kept bringing fresh dishes to the heaters. There were several soups, a nice trout ceviche, several meats (a choice to taste alpaca and cui), and fried bananas, chocolate cake and lucuma pudding for dessert. Another pleasant surprise was the coffee - better than in many coffee places in Lima and Arequipa.More

We had lunch here at 15:30 and everything was still available and fresh. Loads of vegetarian options. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms.

Food tasted good but bad tummies the next day. We had the buffet included in part of our travel package but others in our group were charged 30 sol each (which ain’t that cheap).

We were forced by a tour to go here. they told us first that you can order a la carte but there was only the buffet. It didn't look as good as in the pictures here so we had to pick a taxi to escape.

We went to this restaurant for lunch when we toured Colca canyon. The restaurant was chosen by our guide and we immediately notice that apparently many other tour companies do the same. Although an a la carte menu would be available as well, their buffet...is quite extensive and lets you sample many Peruvian favorites like guinea pig, Rocoto relleno, ... so we decided for the buffet. The quality of the food was quite decent considering how touristy the place was, it was just a pity that dishes weren't restocked. Service was as was to be expected more occupied with ensuring a high turnover of guests not taking care too much care of individual needs.More

A popular stop for many tours as it easily hosts numerous groups and offers a wide choice thanks to the buffet approach. It is nice to open the various pots and select different specialties - I particulary enjoyed quinoa and vegetables, really good, but also...the pumpkin soup with corn seeds. Only remark: please add the name of each dish in fron of each pot! Nice service.More

Our tour bus stopped here for lunch. The buffet was 30 soles and selection was quite decent - wide variety of soups, salads, vegetables, chicken, alpaca, fish desserts. I particularly liked the quinoa soup, the hearty lentil soup (with potatoes and lamb meat) , and...the trout. The desserts were also quite good. Tried a typical Peruvian Catcus friut and it was delicious. They accept Mastercard which was an additional plus for us.More
