We visited this restaurant with my partner, we stayed the night in Chivay. The staff are friendly, meals average but meet the expectations given low price for the three courses meal Special. The musical performance was something, I really recommend it as a good experience...to see the minute of Andean and Spanish music, the dancers were great. I don’t think there are many outing options in Chivay, so this one is high up on my list!More
Had the quinoa soup - tasteless water with some bits in it. The waiters are over worked and particularly uncaring. Cultural show was interesting.
This performance in Chivay was part of Valle de Colca tour. They were so good I bought one of their CDs and play it all the time.
Unfortunately our food wasn't great, we still ate it but a lot of our food came out cold so we sent it back, It could have been because we were a very large group and it was a full house that night. I ordered the...Grilled Alpaca which was delicious. The show is the selling point for this restaurant. We really enjoyed the singing, band, dancing and display that was put on for us. The most entertaining part was they dragged you up to the dancefloor to join in with them!More
The food here was just about OK but the highlight was definitely the local musical group and dancing. Everyone participated in the group singing as well as the dancing. It was a really enjoyable evening.
My father ordered the asparagus soup and it was distasteful, has a taste like water, we asked very nicely to replace the soup but they said no and was very rude, just because we are tourist and they think we are stupid, the main courses...are ok, not more than that, dont get to this restaurant, the service is slow and the waitress are the worst, VERY EXPENSIVE AND THEY TRYING TO FOOL TOURISTMore
Our group was taken here by our guide. It was a basic tourist venue. The menu was set priced with a limited selection. The service was slow and the quality of the food ordinary. At least one of the group suffered from food poisoning because...the meal was not hygenically prepared and cooked. The floor show was loud and tended to overpower. It was average at best.More
Very interesting to watch locals perform local music and dances with explanations. Great music. Food was not to bad, more like a set menu
During our Colca canyon tour we were given the option to dine here and watch a Peruvian folkloric show. The show was nice, and included a couple dancing to live music. The food was very bland, nothing to write home about. The service was terrible....Dishes arrived at random intervals. We also ordered two beers. After ca twenty minutes and no beers we notified the waiter who responded with a nod. Yet we still had to wait another fifteen minutes until the beers arrived, while during this whole time there was a second waiter behind the bar doing next to nothing. It was just incomprehensible... If you are not interested in the show: don’t go here!More
We ate supper there in May 2018 and attended the dinner show. The Quinoa soup with vegetables was fantastic as was the Grilled alpaca main course. The show was entertaining and portrayed peruvian local dress and dance.
