Started off with an amazing variety of antipasti (prosciutto, porchetta, cheeses, grilled vegetables and so many other local delicacies) which honestly was already more than enough to fill our stomachs. I'm happy I pushed through though, because their fresh pasta carbonara was some of the best I've ever had. I'll be back!

We took a bus from Rome to Ariccia to find a NON tourist restaurant. We strolled through restaurant row and choose Osteria da Angelo. Is looked Italian, it smelled Italian and it was just that. We had a party on nine. EVERYBODY loved this place. The menu included all the appetizers listed (we kept trying to pick one) Porchetta plentiful,... More

We decided to choose the small men of 15 €. The food served was a plate with different kind of salami and porchette, the most famous food of this part of Italy, Beans and salsicce with cotiche (pork skin). We have chosen as main dish one Amatriciana and a kind of different pasta like maltagliati with little tomatoes. Wine of... More

Our fabulous experience here was highlighted with us enjoying a pasta making cooking class. We came here with a small group of 5 on a tour from Rome. We had a couple of stop overs on the way and arrived about 1130, just in time to learn the basics of pasta making that included fettuccine and ravioli. After a walk... More

Me and my fiancée have just returned from a visit to Rome and took a day trip with our tour guide (David Battaglino) and a small group to visit a small Italian town outside of Rome, to experience true Italy! This was a fantastic day. We all took part in making pasta & raviolli from scratch inside the kitchens of... More

Arriving late for lunch can be a problem in Italy, but we found ourselves embraced by friendliness and above all - some really great food. Coppiette are a must and the "made on demand" ravioli filled with porchetta, as well as the ones filled with zucca (pumpkin) were amongst the best I have ever had. Mouth full of exploding galaxies.... More

Angelo's osteria is one of many in via dell'Uccelliera, and on the way towards it, you get pestered by restaurant hawkers trying to drag you into one of those eateries - and Angelos is no different. There goes one star. This kind of rubbish maybe makes sense along the Colloseum, but certainly not in Arricia. The pasta itself was very... More

I decided to try this restaurant based on the trip advisor reviews. The center of Ariccia is lined with these small restaurants that serve porchetta, salami, cheeses, preserved vegetables and typical local fare. The people here were friendly in a very relaxed atmosphere. During the entire dinner a lady was working on making fresh pasta which was a nice touch... More
