Horner is aa idyllic village on Exmoor that you must include on your bucket list! Unchanged and unspoiled by the so called advance of civilization! Take a stroll along the side of the woodland stream, enjoy the sound of the woodland birds and soak up nature in its truest form. On your return, take a well earned break for a... More

We walked the 6 bridges and at the bottom there is this delightful tea rooms. It has outdoor, indoor and covered seating areas. The cakes are excellent and my stepson particularly enjoyed his hot chocolate! The service is friendly and efficient.

Couldn't be more helpful, had a warm fire going on a winter February day. Food was spot on, really welcome and I highly recommend planning this stop for anyone out on the moor. Great service with a smile. :)

I've loved this little tea garden for years. Friendly staff, great scones, (And you can have Whortleberry Jam - a must in Exmoor), and you have the added bonus of very tame little birds hopping about picking up the crumbs. Take a lovely walk alongside Horner Water in the woods, then come back and relax with a cuppa and a... More

This is a very recent review as I actually visited the place today! We used to visit this place for lunch a few years ago but all of a sudden the place closed and we weren't sure when it would open again. Thankfully, it re-opened the other year and we finally visited today for lunch. Definitely different owners from before... More

Have completed a lot of walks on Exmoor over the last month or so that have ended near Horner and, whenever possible, we've popped into the Tea Gardens for a cream tea or a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Last Monday I managed to be there shortly after midday so have had a lunch there as well.... More

My late Dad could remember coming here in the early 1930s and we always came for a "Horner Corner" tea whilst staying at Burrowhayes Farm as teenagers. Haven't visited for a little while and this last visit did not disappoint. The scones were still warm and HUGE and the cream generous. And Horner itself is one of the most idyllic... More

Stopped here twice during a weekend mountain biking near Porlock. The most fantastic scones and tea first time around, followed by morning coffee with smarties in shot glasses next day. Perfect, highly recommend for good service too!

We've visited these tea gardens twice since being on holiday here and both times we've had a lovely meal in a super setting. We had jacket potatoes with cheese, ham and baked beans followed by slices of carrot and coffee cake which were delicious. The coffees come with dinky little shot glasses with smarties in them; a rather novel touch.... More

This is the second time we have been back to the tea room the first time in April 2016. What a lovely friendly place apple pie and blackberry and clotted cream was lovely as all of the items we tried. Will be visiting again before our walking holiday is up keep up the great food.
