We had lunch here with family while on holiday from Australia and couldn't fault the food. The fish was well cooked and the batter was light and crispy and th chips were 'real chips' - not frozen! Our husbands opted for 'spotted dick' pud and custard and they were in seventh heaven! The only suggestion is that the waitress on... More

It's a local institution I am told. The interior is 1980's retro without the chic - think more Maestro less Audi Quattro. The food is standard chippy fare. When we arrived Saturday afternoon just before 14:00 the place was empty. The fish was alright. The chips felt like a re-heat. Probably best to go when there are more patrons for... More

We were too early for our appointment so we decided for a leisurely lunch. We found Collins Fish Restaurant. Service was very warm and efficient. Kudos to them. I ordered the Cod Fish & Chips and boy was it great! It was one of the best tasting Fish and Chips. Freshly made, moist and tasty. Serving was quite generous. Definitely,... More

Nice wine choice and plenty f soft drinks on offer. COD... More

I love that his place never changes. No fancies or frills, just sit down fish n chips like it used to be. Decor hasn't ch aged since I went there with my nana and grandad as a child! Even still has the same placemats, chairs, decor. BUT, really good fish n chip meal for a fraction of the price you'd... More

I left a review on here last October but thought I would give it another try. Well!! The short lady that served me had a glowering miserable face which looked like a bullet wound. But I came for the food so what was it like? Did I get a pleasant surprise? Sadly I did not. The chips were as last... More

The fish was I a thick gooey batter that was too thick for my liking and the chips contained lots of overlooked small chips
