Called for food and drink after walking up Kinder. This is a very busy inn we just managed to get in at the right time. Good food and lots of different beers (we were walking to cottage so all could partake)

In contrast to the other pub in the village the welcome in The Rambler Inn was very warm. There's plenty of choice for food and drink and the it seemed that the staff really wanted our business (for example they don't do liquor coffees but...More

Score lots of points for being able to provide 4 twin rooms for the walking party I was organising. The food here is not super-imaginative but is good and wholesome, the breakfast is nice and the rooms are OK. There's a good buzz in the...More

Lovely location, great beer garden and beers! The food we had was really nice and the staff overall were very nice and friendly. Only downside was the older chap behind the bar who had the personality and attitude of a really grumpy C-3PO.

The quality of the food has recently declined, the chips were frozen including the onion rings. Everybody loves fresh chips!! they are the foundation of every pub meal, you can even buy the spuds peeled so I'm afraid you have no excuse considering the price...More

Stopped after a walk, beer was very average and so was the food. Wasn't impressed and using the factor of it being a honey pot site.

When you've had a hard day's walking you need a drink and food, and the Ramblers can deliver the drink but not the food. I judge a pub by whether they do their own chips or not. The Ramblers don't, they are so obviously frozen...More
