We were walking past and chanced upon the New Inn. My partner and I love fish and were pleasantly surprised to find lots of the menu and to be able to have a discussion with the chef himself about the sourcing and sustainability of ingredients which is something important to us. The chef evidently took great pride in local ingredients... More

I've just returned from lunch at the new inn and had a brilliant time. I went with a group of ladies from the local WI and nothing was too much trouble! the table was laid beautifully with small vases of yellow tulips and we were told that we could pick from the menu and mix and match as we wanted.... We have eaten here quite a few times & have had fantastic food each time. There is so much choice & it's outstanding quality. It has become our number one place to eat. This is not pub grub, this is restaurant food, at pub prices. Everyone should give it a try, you won't be disappointed. The chef comes out for... More

On the outside and inside this just looks like your ordinary Robinsons pub, until you taste the food. This is bordering on Michelin star. We had heard that the food was amazing so had to check it out. If you like good food that is individually prepared and locally and responsibly sourced this is the place. The head chef can't... More

We visited this pub for lunch and had the most fantastic experience. The chef, who discussed the menu at great length with us, came up with some fantastic dishes. Everything was freshly made from scratch and the standard of cooking was very high. It was such a treat to have food made by someone who is so passionate about food.... More

We have passed this place by on many occasions and finally called in for a midday lunch. Warm welcome at the bar, and the specials menu was displayed on the wall in the dining area. We chose Chicken Casserole and Barnsley Chop. Chef came to check if we had any special requirements which was a nice surprise. He also told... More

We are at The New Inn today and we will definitely be returning. The food was all delicious and great value for money. The staff were helpful and attentive, really chatty with our baby girl which was lovely. You can tell the chef obviously loves food and cares about what he's sending out, he even sent out a few free... More

Stumbled across this place on a cold wet Saturday afternoon - was greeted by a lovely friendly lady who although they were just about stopping serving lunch allowed us in - when we were looking at the menu the chef came over such a nice guy so passionate about what he does, made sure we were completely happy with what...
