On arrival we received a warm welcome from the Phil behind the bar, the cider was good, the food was great too and reasonably priced from the lunch menu £8.95 each for 2 courses. I would highly recommend the steak and ale pie it was tasty and tender, desserts looked tempting but after 2 courses we couldn't manage any more.... More

Brilliant traditional country pub, lunch was excellent, well presented and very reasonably priced. Draught Bass went down a treat as did a couple of gins from a huge selection available. Very welcoming, our first visit but definately not our last, many thanks for making our visit so enjoyable.

My favourite pub to visit in this part of God;s own county. It is well known for the quality of it's food; I eat there rarely but am always delighted when I do. However this does not prevent it from being an outstanding country pub. Beer quality first rate, prices excellent, nice selection of single malts, but over 100 gins... More

We make a habit of a walk every Sunday concluding at the Dickin for lunch. Never been disappointed, food is great value, they're used to our dietary fads (Lo carb sometimes, blow outs often), the house beer is excellent with rotating guests, the welcome is as warm as it could be, and the locals provide a free (if unintentional) cabaret!

We've been before and this fabulous pub never disappoints. The atmosphere is lovely. Always friendly locals. No American Werewolf reception here! The landlord is very friendly and attentive. The food is of a high standard as is the beer. Gin selection looked to be outstanding. Not expensive at all.

You are unlikely to trip over this village pub - which is just how the locals like it. Friday night is very busy as excellent fish and chip suppers are available at a reasonable price. The landlord and staff are friendly; bar crowded and noisy and plenty of parking.

The atmosphere and warm welcome confirmed that my first visit was not a fluke. The landlord and staff were once again very welcoming and it added to the nice friendly atmosphere. When many country pubs are desperate to go gastro, be trendy and chic, the Dickin Arms is more reminiscentof a bygone era where the food and drink are part... More

Went for a drink whilst driving through, was very pleasant. Open fire and real ale. They have a HUGE gin range too. Not had food recently but has been good in the past.
