It's a very good choice if you like sea food, also they make some decent drinks. The view is perfect - It's on the beach after all. They are in the sea shore, have the best "Canelones de Siri" of the world!! and all kind of fish plates. Try the "buñelos de algas" with a cold beer under the beautiful air of Valizas

This restaurant has a beautiful rustic, shaded wooden deck on the beach facing out to sea. The waitress/owner was so friendly and attentive and the fish I ordered with salsa verde (including "algas" (local seaweed), parsley, basil, garlic and wine) was exquisite. Proa has a great, well deserved, reputation. The chef Gustavo is a commercial fisherman turned restaurant owner/chef. I don't know how he was as a fisherman but he is a great chef! The staff is wonderful and outside dining is right on the beach. What...a view! Another of my favorite restaurants.More
