I had booked a table for 2 on Saturday eve for the Sunday lunch, and particularly stated we are vegetarian. I have had a lovely nut roast here before so asked if they would be doing the nut roast for us. The answer was maybe but if not there would be another vegetarian option. There was no nut roast and... The Rose Inn is located in a very lovely village, we found this pub as we were staying in a nearby Spa retreat and thought we would explore the area. The pub is very lovely looking and the decor layout is very fitting. As we entered it did look like it was full of the locals, we found a table easily... More

Had a really nice Sunday dinner after a long cycle with my friend Steven. Great food and we had a really attentive server called maddi, made sure we were happy with everything and was friendly. Lovely pub atmosphere too would definitely take this route again!!

We were taking part in a 50k charity cycle ride today (23/04/2017). We stopped at the Rose Inn for a Sunday roast en route, which was by far the best we have had in a restaurant/pub for a long time. It was all cooked to perfection and the gravy was thick and meaty. Very yummy :)

We visited as a family of 8 on a Saturday evening. The pub is lovely in a cute little village and the food was delicious one of the best pub meals I've had!! The menu had lots of choice and catered for everyone! Ps.. the Brie starter is a definite winner!!

Went for a meal for my girlfriend's birthday. The pub is typical of a local village pub, nice people using it and no atmosphere when you go in and although busy it was not too loud. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was of high quality. It is worth noting the pub does allow dogs and they... More

Warm cheerful welcome promised well for a light lunch. We were not disappointed, just had paninis and chips. They were very good, promptly and cheerfully served. Allowed us to bring the dog in. Cannot really fault, recommended

Warm welcome as soon as you over the threshold, drinks at bar , quickly served, had a 3 course meal , starters were lovely and tasty and very well presented, all cooked to order, mains , just as good, and puddings a devilish treat, altogether brilliant.

Visited on a whim last week after a student at work recommended, service was attentive, genuine and pleasant. Taking a 3 year old and a Labrador is never easy, offered a table providing we would be finished 2.5 hours later. Best Roast shoulder of lamb I've ever tasted, portions were immense, fresh roast potatoes and veg, my wife had half... More

Three stars because the pub looked lovely, from the outside! Despite the advertised times on the website at 3.30pm on a lovely spring day (3.5 hours after it was meant to open) we, in company with four others, found it in darkness. A very long detour to be very disappointed.
