Called in for lunch today but wish we hadn't bothered. The staff were very friendly and the place was clean and had a nice ambience. My husband ordered the ham, eggs and chips. Unfortunately the eggs had been cooked in butter which my husband didn't like and the waitress said to specify next time. He found the ham extremely dry... More

We were on a Sunday drive around are local area ish, when we started to feel a bit hungry, a few pubs had stopped serving or fully booked, found the black Robin and popped in for a beer and some crisps, they said they can still do lunch if we wanted so stayed and a great lunch it was to,... More

Eat here numerous time in all seasons. Best pub in area for food and lovely venue to boot. Homemade burgers are a centrepiece although I should add I eat veggie and fish... take friends and family here as the first choice due to it being a decent relaxed meal. Gets 4* as menu is a bit 'samey' all year round.

After a three mile walk from Bridge with 8 + 2 dogs, this was a perfect location for lunch. The staff were very welcoming, and happy to allow dogs to come in whilst we ate. The food was varied, reasonably priced, swift and delicious. And the beer was excellent. I thoroughly recommend the Black Robin.

Came for lunch as a midday point on a hike over the Christmas period. In spite of muddy boots and even muddier dog the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The open fire was roaring and the food was ideal. I took a punt on the veggie curry (which can be disappointing in some establishments) but it was very tasty.

I visited this pub with a group of friends for lunch on our way to the coast for Christmas week. We had planned to detour to visit here. We had planned a quick stop but seeing how good their pensioner offer is we each had full and good lunches. My meal was not one with chips but those of my... More

The staff at the Black Robin couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming on what was a really bad day for myself, family and friends. Service was brilliant, they were ready for us even though we turned up a little early, serving very welcomed cups of tea and coffee, on arrival. The buffet I ordered was nicely presented and...
