This is truly a gem of a country pub, beautiful decor and ambience with food to die for. Excellent choice of food for meat lovers and vegetarians like myself. Really lovely presentation too. Ben is an excellent, creative chef and the care he puts into his work is hugely evident. Cosy and romantic for couples, also spacious and friendly for... More

Have driven past this pub many times over the years but have never been in. Today we booked for a family lunch and were very surprised at the warm welcome and delicious food. The service was excellent and the main courses we chose were great. I particularly enjoyed the veggie lasagne and the molten chocolate pudding looked divine (although I... More

Being a vegetarian I usually struggle to find anything exciting on the menu, however the vegetarian lasagna I ordered was beautifully cooked. Hands down the best lasagna I've ever eaten. The atmosphere of the pub is welcoming and seems to... More

Nine of us turned up for lunch after dog training. 3 chose the homemade scotch egg - simply amazing! Another 3 had homemade Pork Pie and were equally impressed! At under £60 for lunch for 9 of us - with the best homemade scotch eggs ever tasted - we were impressed!

We had a brilliant meal at The Black Robin-A really nice Pub. My husband particularly enjoyed the Beers, well kept and a good selection. I was pleased to see an English Wine on sale too-the house Merlot very good as well! The Pub has a great ambience, candles twinkling taking the chill off an early August evening. A place to... More
