This dilapidated looking building hides a very original aussie pub. However its great if you are only looking for a drink. Despite the signs advertising a new chef... it may be time for another new chef. I had pork belly... always been one of my favorites but this is the worst I have tasted. Overcooked and lacked flavour. My wife... More

There is no excuse for such bad food - anywhere! There must be new problems since the favourable reviews were written. Group end-of-year dinner: "Polenta chips": barely cooked polenta chunks. Tasteless. "Chicken and garlic croquettes": nothing like croquettes - suspicious these came out of a frozen bag. "Chicken and leek pot pie": small bowl of chicken soup with chunks of... More

Quite a nice looking building in Collingwood. But we should have known by the fact that the restaurant was empty at 1230. Menu is narrow but had normal pub fare done if which wasn't available. Pasta was slightly uncooked and tasteless but he steak sandwich looked better. Great location and great building but shame about food and service. Worth avoiding.

Well, any pub that has a bookshelf, with good books on them, is worth bonus points where I'm concerned. Okay, it does need a decent coat of paint on the outside (though that may have changed since I was last here), however this is a pretty cool pub that I don't get to as often as I should. The first... WE have had a meal here quite a number of times now and we love it. This gorgeous pub looks like it needs a coat of paint on the outside but its full of surprises inside. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the meals are beautifully fresh and scrumtuous. We will keep returning to this quiet little beauty.

We arrived to find the midweek steak special so that's what we had. They were a great choice and excellent value too. We have several days in the area so we plan to be back.

Nearly missed this place due to its somewhat lack lustre appearance but very pleased we investigated further. We were looking for a pub style eatery witching walking distance of Birches Serviced Appartments. We went on a Tuesday night and were recommended to have the Veal by the staff. The veal was very good but the Beef Cheeks were better and... More

With a paint job that looks like a multicolored fruit tingle and an external appearance that looks ready for condemning don't judge a book by its cover. Once inside you can tell an effort has been made and greater effort occurs with the service and the food. We had very tasty salads with a variety of ingredients and along with... More

The Prince Patrick doesn't look like anything special. Once inside this changes. Lots to choose from on the menu, plus light meals on a bar menu. I had ox cheeks with polenta - a generous meal. My partner had pork ribs - also a generous meal. Service was friendly. There was a dining area or you could eat in the... More
