Waitress was super friendly and food was good. Restaurant was clean. They have a bar side and family side where kids are welcome.

Waitress was very nice. The classic breakfast with Jimmy Sausage was a good portion and yummy, around $8 cheaper then you would get anywhere else. All 3 of us enjoyed breakfast. Even guests in restaurant very nice.
We like to travel the back roads and visit one of a kind resteraunts. This was on our list of places we wanted to see. Sadly it was disappointing, ate here twice and sorry to say it will be the last. The menus were filthy...and very limited . The food was bland and over priced.More
Good friendly service, fresh salads and custom styled meals. Thoroughly enjoyed our stop, going through rural Alberta.
Have been to this bar a ton of times as we have a permanent campsite near Cremona so we stop there Friday night if we do not feel like cooking. Some times the food is very good and some times average as I think there...is a high turn over of staff as there are always new waitresses. There is a older lady that works more in the restaurant side and she is rude to everyone, the bar staff are way better but I am sure it hard to get staff in a small town. The bar is better to sit in with tv's...take your chance food is decent...beer is always cold and they have a small liquor store.More
We went in then tavern for rib night and a couple of appetizers. They have a large selection of ribs that were quite tasty.
We were travelling off the major highway, and ended up in the neighborhood past the usual noon-time lunch. 3 of us ordered regular fare (beef dip, reuben, soup & sandwich special) - and were ALL delightfully surprised: meats were tender and plentiful, breads were fresh,...side salads were crisp & crunchy. Service was friendly but not intrusive. If we're ever in the area again, we'll be back!More
Food was good, not quite homestyle I wouldn't say, but pretty close. Food was tasty hot and arrived in a timely fashion. I also had a take out sandwich recently and I would rather have a sandwich here than subway any day of the week....We have also eaten in the bar side, and I feel the kitchen gets spread to thin on busy nights or special holidays. One time we waited over an hour for food, but didn't blame the kitchen. Food was still good when it arrived. Will eat here again.More
I know this Trip Advisor restaurant rating is for the Coyote Grill but we actually ate in the tavern. Same menu, same kitchen. We were on our way by to do some business in the area and stopped to see some friends and grab lunch....I had the Coyote burger, my wife had the Reuben and both were excellent. It was one of the best burgers I've had this summer. The only thing that didn't make it no. 1 was the bun. It was a sweet hamburger bun and I prefer a soft potato bun. But the burger itself was well cooked and well seasoned with just the right amount of toppings to make it a bit messy without over powering the meat. Definitely stop in again the next time we're up this way.More
We first discovered the Coyote Grill on a days outing with a friend from Victoria BC and enjoyed our meal so much we decided to return there on a more recent road trip. The Coyote Grill is less than 100 km. from Calgary. My wife...enjoyed a more than adequate bowl of beef soup followed be a Chefs salad. This was a large bowl filled with various types of garden greens, julienne carrots and beets, topped with real turkey breast, ham and a hard boiled egg. I enjoyed the coyote burger, a 6 ounce beef burger with tomatoes, pickles, lettuce and cheese. It was accompanied by a large serving of fries. The piece de resistance was a huge portion of apple berry pie finished with a crumble topping and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The service was friendly without being overbearing, and prompt. We will certainly dine at Coyote again, perhaps next time for dinner.More
The food is hearty and filling like the meatloaf, steak, and chicken dishes with yummy duchess potatoes and veggies with soup on the side. One of us always orders pizza (which is REALY good since they got a new oven last year). There are a...few interesting (not all run-of-the-mill) salad-y options as well. All in a nicer restaurant environment. Expect a 15-30 minute wait for food to come. The service is hit and miss since one of the waitress positions seems to change every few months.More
Time your Cowboy Trail drive to have supper here! This is a small town jewel tucked into a very plain looking hotel, which would have been overlooked if I hadn't done the Internet thing. My daughter was in Cremona for the day and, as it...was near suppertime when I picked her up, we looked for a local restaurant. The menu for Coyote Grill looked appealing. Bring your appetite because the portion sizes will fill you up. I had their creative take on Chicken Wellington with Duchess potatoes and grilled vegetables. Asking for my Wellington without prawns (remember I said creative) it was clear they assembled the Wellington fresh because the prawns were where the pâté would be in a Beef Wellington. It tasted amazing. The Duchess potatoes were also extremely tasty ... maybe a little heavy. And I was thrilled with the grilled vegetable mix of red and green peppers, white onions, and brussels sprouts. My daughter had their stuffed meatloaf with the same sides. She's a big fan of meatloaf and gave this chorizo stuffed recipe high praise. She finished her meal with a blueberry pie which also received top marks.More
Absolutely love this restaurant. We've eaten here several times. With kids, without kids, with friends, with grandparents or just as a couple. The food has always been spot on. Pizza is awesome as eat in or take out. The menu has locally named specials too...so you feel at home. It's a tiny restaurant but also serves food in the attached bar. This place is a win for small town food!More
Had a business lunch today and ordered a steak sandwich while my companion ordered a tuna salad sandwich and fries. Ordered steak Medium Rare... received WELL done... ok... no problem.. these things happen as I am a well traveled foodie and because I have eaten...here on previous occasions whereby the food was always good very politely showed the waitress the problem. She agreed was well over cooked however caught her rolling her eyes as she rounded the corner to the kitchen when I sent it back... well the cook sent it back out to me lightly seared and totally raw inside... Excuse me, jerk! I Asked for a to go box to take home and heat up myself. After I showed it to the server, she agreed that it was raw.. She shrugged... oh well, guess it sucks to be you! Had to ask for a refill on my coffee and she was annoyed.. Went to pay the bill.. no apology... no we will comp your coffee... charged me an extra ..1.00 to upgrade to a ceasar salad (which was good).. We Left and went to Water Valley for a burger at the Saloon!!! My companion who had eaten here a week ago, mentioned that the sandwich she ordered last week the bread was hard and old...I RECOMMEND THAT YOU PASS THIS PLACE BY and go a little further to Water Valley and try the Water Valley Saloon. Yes it may be bar food but 100% BETTER.... Totally annoyed and frustrated with this experience!!!! Know alot of country people around the area and I will be definitely giving them the heads as will be my Realtor who sells and lists in the local area!!! Now it sucks to be you!More
Look for the Cremona Hotel and Neilson's Tavern sign on the south side of 2nd Street, and park. The Coyote Grill is the small room on the north side of the hotel. Our photos don't do it justice, as has been nicely decorated. Check out...the many great photos of the area on the wall. Our food was quite good, expertly prepared and presented, and tasty as well. Staff were really friendly.More
