Stumbled across this place a few years back and have been going ever since! Coffee is perfect, everything I have tried on the menu is delicious and the service is great. Decor is quaint and away from the madness of King Street. Plus not just another chain!! Keeping Newtown's community character <3

Just stopped in here for a coffee. The staff is super friendly, the coffee is delicious, and there's free wifi! The food here (from another visit) is great too.

A nice vibe with great tasting food and really good service. Being a group of girlfriends we stayed a bit longer than most of the other patrons but the staff weren't trying to move us on. Lovely people and we were all very pleased with our choices. Really good coffee too!

In the mornings, a good well made flat white, and something savoury is what I need to start my day, and this place has that in spades. Seriously good coffee, great breakfast options and super service, and a budget price!

Favourite for years now. Vargabar is a smaller little joint with some real soul! Coffee is great and the food are always fantastic, topped off by the awesome staff you have running the place. Packs out pretty early on weekends so get in early to get yourself a good seat!

great coffee, very helpful and friendly wait staff. Excellent food. Away from the main street, but close by, which means you don't have the constant noise of a busy street. Bit of a tight squeeze inside though.

What a great little find! Lovely little cafe with a varied menu. I can recommend the delicious halloumi burger and polenta fries. The smoothies are heavenly and for once in Sydney I found a decent coffee! Service was hilarious - Simon is great!

This is a tiny and lovely cafe with a few tables indoor and some chairs outdoor. The coffee is one of my favourite in Sydney and staff always welcoming. Every day they have a special dish for 10$. I only tried the quesadias (that's for Tuesday) which was okay. They also have one socket where you can plug your PC... More

Varga used to be great. The baked eggs. The parties. The waitress. Mico. A few years ago the coffee prices started to creep up - my mate saying it was now the most expensive coffee in Newtown. The manager claimed this was because peeps would just sit and leech the wifi. Oh well, it's a shame. Now it simply exists,... More
