They serve generous amounts of food and it is very tasty. Their more famous plate is the patacones, but every other plate we tried was just as good.
The whole fried fish was delicious, the casados were algo very good. Recommended.
Eat here often when in the area. Can be pretty full and service a little slow, but if you can make the stop, food is good. The ceviche, shrimp and rice, octupus, and best, the typical plantains with toppings.
I always try to go there ans ask for the patacones. They are really good. You can not go wrong with them. I also request papaya juice, but many fresh fruit juice is good there.
My second favorite dish there is the deep-fried whole fish...which is good. They also have other seafood available.
The place is simple, nothing fancy but it is clean and people friendly and serviceable.
Prices goes accordingly with the place and food quality.More
We had 6 fried plantain, each about the size of a pancake. They were served with 3 small separate containers of shredded meat, refried beans and salsa (you put on what you like)
We also shared a meal of fried fish with beans, rice,...veggies
The portions were very large! The fresh fruit drinks were delicious and refreshing
ATMOSPHERE: it is an open patio - very clean and the service was excellent
IMPORTANT: if you don't speak Spanish then ask for the English menu. They have one available but you need to ask as the customers are predominately Spanish speaking localsMore
Very simple nice environment open restaurant no windows no walls no AC.
Great food great service, very kind waitress and food was delicious. Try the mariscasa al ajillo and the patacones especiales.
Sure I will be coming back
We came across this restaurant whilst driving out of Tarcoles and decided to stop for lunch. A wise choice. We had great seafood and sat outside undercover for a lovely meal.
The fish and seafood we had was all very fresh and well cooked. Good...efficient service too. Worth a try.More
