A delightful restaurant. The restaurant is in an older home and authentically decorated with period memorabilia --old wash machine, photos and the wooden tables were beautiful antiques. The veggie burger was a 10 out of 10 for sure. The strawberry cheese cake (home made jam which was delectable ) was gourmet --so delicious.

To start it's important to say the food is pretty good but don't expect fancy. This place is comfort food. Between us we had the lasagna special, liver and onions, and beef with Yorkshire. There are few places that can make liver well and they do a good job. The lasagna was good but the beef was slathered in a... More

Had lunch with a friend and the pickerel was delicious. She had turkey pot pie which was a huge serving and also very delicious. Would definitely return again if in the area.

A history buff's dream! Poke through the collectables, peruse the books. You may find you have a lot of time, as the place is pretty understaffed. There are all kinds of kitschy knick-knacks around, and delightful old books. Even my young nephew, who does not like to read, was able to find a book of poetry to poke around in... More

Five friends and I stopped at Lock 31 in Buckhorn with our houseboat last night, and were delighted that we dropped in on Kim at The Olde Ice House. The charming rustic farmhouse decor and Kim's graciousness were incredibly welcoming. I had the pork schnitzel sandwich which was fantastic, served with hand cut fries like my grandmother used to make.... More

We were driving around exploring the area and decided to try out the Old Ice House Restaurant in Buckhorn around 4PM. It was crowded....so we were seated in the section to the left of the doorway. Interesting atmosphere....large wooden tables and in the back a 'gift shop' in disarray....may or may not have been open. The tables were clean.....but sticky,... More

Stopped in for an early dinner on Friday while in the area. Loved the eclectic decoration - lots to look at and puzzle over what some of the antiques may have been used for! Server was warm & welcoming, recognized us the next day when we bumped in to her at the Curve Lake Pow Wow and stopped to chat... More

We stopped in for lunch about 2 p.m. and enjoyed the intimated environment at The Olde Ice House. The French onion soup was lovely, the breakfast choice came with home made jam, and dessert was still warm from the oven. The antique décor, friendly staff, great menu selection, reasonably priced meals and home-cooked taste make this a great casual dining... More
