A majestic overlook at one of the entrances to the walled city of Lucignano. We LOVED this restaurant and the detail in every dish by an inspired chef. Highly recommend!!

Situated in the small medieval town of Lucignano, by the rear gate, Porta san Giovanni. Nice ambience, good selection of food and a rooftop terrace with views. caters to small or large groups, some separate dining areas. A bit more pricy than the average restaurant but also very good. Good service.

We ha a primi and secundi wich were very tasty. The cuisine is traditionally Tuscan and all dishes we had were of good quality. The roof terrace is great and gives a nice view to the old center of the village.

Perfect pici with zucchini and porcini! Carpaccio with arugula fresh Parmesan and good quality olive oil was delicious. A nice carafe of vino bianchi and life was very good!

We visited La Rocca twice in a week, once coming back from a day trip to Florence when we discovered it was one of the few places open on a Monday! We liked it (and the village) so much we booked for a party of 14 going home dinner. The Monday was busy but food was excellent, duck and chicken... More

All looked very promising - appetising menu (seen as we entered), beautiful upstairs terrace overlooking parts of the town, and a bustling restuarant. Perhaps that was the problem. Having been shown to a lovely table on the lovely terrace we never saw the staff again - not offered any drinks, bread, olives; nothing. When, after the best part of half... More

Had a lovely meal at La Rocca, multi language menu easily understood. Tuscan food at its best. The restaurant is easy to find and nicely situated. Extensive wine list with a decent house red (vino rosso di casa) if you ask for it. The service was excellent and great care taken helping my mother up the small flight of stairs... More

We ate here on our last night in the area. It was my least favourite meal. We ordered the grilled lamb it was tasty but it was lamb chops that are usually cooked on BBQ it wasn't resturant quality. It was over priced for what it was. The service was average.
