Just off the Main Street heading from Dassia towards Ipsos, the Taverna Karidia sits playing authentic Greek music surrounded by olive trees. A traditional Greek menu with a few vegetarian starters slid in. Most of the mains bar one, were for meat lovers. I opted for meatballs for a starter with my good lady having garlic bread. A plate of... More

The Karydia is an excellent restaurant, serving authentic Greek food. You will receive a very warm welcome and are made to feel a valued customer. The food is very good and plenty of it. I would particularly recommend the Spinach pies for starters. The restaurant is on the outskirts of Dassia, so doesn't appear to get too busy, but it... More

By chance we stopped at this restaurant and we had fish, that was fresh and delicious; also the side dish was prepared on everyone's request; some asked for fries, others salad. Also the desert, we had Baklava, was really good. We returned also for the man that served us, that was friendly and kind.

Worth the little walk to the outskirts of Dassia (Ipsos side) for a very traditional Greek meal. It is a large restaurant, but being a little out of Dassia was fairly quiet when we went. The setting is average, just off and lower than the road in an open area. The food was really good, but be warned portion sizes... More

Good meze & grilled calamari stuffed with shrimps. Quick service. We also got a bottle of home wine as a present. Lovely hungry kitten kept our company ;)

Over cooked calamari and the service was slow a couple of very large groups with the ensuing levels of noise. My son was disappointed with the chicken and mushrooms pie

Souvlaki was too dry. Friendly and quick service. Meze s were Ok but nothing different or really good tasting. We drank three bottles of ouzo but still it was not very expensive. No view but kids played a little at the garden. Among different dishes we tried lamb chops were the best.

Recommended by a felllow countryman we met at the resort as we were looking for something special for our wedding anniversary. Friendly welome from the owner, table by the side, locally caught seabass was recommended which we chose prior to greek appetisers of meatballs and baked fetta cheese. Wine was very reasonable, popular with the locals and 100% greek apmosphere.... More
