Our group of 8 had dinner here our first bight on the island. Their pan fried whitefish was very, very good. It was seasoned well and tasted great. 2 fillets came with rice and vegetables.
We also tried their bison taco but the fried bread and the chili itself made the dish heavy - not surprising but it made us like the whitefish dish even more.
Service was great though the food took a while to come out.

Nice location, clean restaurant. Service was not the best, but the food was good. Our waitress was polite, but seemed overwhelmed. The other waitress made eye contact, but totally ignored us, even walked past us without speaking, through the entrance, as we were waiting for our reserved table. Only 2 waitresses for many patrons, so very understaffed for a Saturday night! Management should look at this. Despite all that, we waited 45 mins. for our meal, which was fine - but had to wait again for cutlery, condiments, etc. which was not already on the table. We gave a good tip despite all this, as I realized our waitress was doing most of the work alone inside! Otherwise, 'service' would have had a better rating.

Our last night on the Island and decided to go out for dinner and try this restaurant. Sadly on the cool side so opted for indoors. Unfortunately we were placed next to the window BUT beside the bar where staff hung out. Very noisy. The server was good and friendly. I had the rainbow trout served with baked apple and walnuts. A different way to serve but very good. My wife had the Indian Taco which was on a bed of fried bannock. It was also good. The patio would be a lot more enjoyable if they trimmed up the cedar trees so you could see the channel.

The entire restaurant as I'm sure you noticed is next to windows. The Cedar trees are on city property and keep the hotel & shoreline from washing away, so they wouldn't get going anywhere.

We stayed at the Hotel that is attached to this establishment and there was a brunch special that we took advantage of.
There was 3 servers taking care of the dining room and unfortunately we got paired with a server who was not destined to be working in hospitality.
A Saturday brunch is not the time I would recommend to catch up on your favorite book between tables. Yes.. she sat at the bar and was reading a book…
We watched the other two servers clearing tables and attentively pouring coffee and taking orders. And we had to,
More than once ask them to ask our server to come to the table to take our order… to refill our coffee etc.
While the food was tasty (shoutout to the kitchen staff who knew their stuff) the service left us with puzzled looks on our faces as we asked the other servers “is she really reading a book?” “we’re waiting for our coffee refills, can you help?” And they must have been frustrated because they probably could have filled up our cups, but they instead told the girl reading the book she needed to attend to our table. I suspect it was not the first time this has happened.
All in all tasty food but the servers might leave you shaking your head.

Sorry, we don't offer any brunch service, and certainly, there was not one in February of 2022. Nor do we have the luxury of 3 staff....Sorry.

A beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view however the girls serving and the boys cooking need improvement. Waited 20 minutes before we even got noticed. Went to the bar and told him we were going outside. Wait another 15 minutes for someone to come out and say hi. Ordered two drinks and some nachos. Drinks came in another 15 minutes or so and never did see the nachos an hour later. We paid for the drinks and left totally disgusted

While staying at the Manitoulin Hotel and Conference Centre over 3 days we had the pleasure of 4 or 5 meals at North 46 Restaurant.
The food was delicious, well prepared, timely, and served with a smile. We found all the staff to be accommodating, helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed every meal.

The menu is small, but we loved what we had. My husband raved about the bison ribeye steak. I had the special that night, beef stroganoff, which was also very good (although I wouldn't have minded if it arrived a bit warmer). We both had breakfast there the next morning and the servings are huge. Breakfast waitresses were lovely.

We have been to this restaurant on two occasions. Great service, the staff are nice. It’s okay but I think the menu doesn’t have enough variety. I ordered the taco and didn’t love the shell. Would love to see more fresh and local food on the menu. The patio has a nice view of the lake so sit outside if you can!

We were in the area for one night and choose to eat breakfast here. We were not disappointed. Food was good and prices reasonable. Service was also good. There was seating inside and out with lots of space to distance from the other guests.

We had dinner early (5:30 pm) so the restaurant wasn’t busy. The waitstaff was very attentive and the food was delicious. The view cannot be beat especially sitting outside on the patio.

Not fine dining but very good food with beautiful views. Service is good. We stayed at the hotel and had dinner and breakfast. No complaints. Wines are from Pelee Island Winery and very well priced.

Had high hopes for this place and was very disappointed. Service is terrible (staff spend most of their time talking with the bartender instead of actually serving their tables. Felt more like an inconvenience than a customer. I had asked for extra mayo to be put on my burger and it was slapped on the side, why offer table service if you cant follow requests.
Menu had choice but our food was not brought out all together (which for 2 people) seems a bit odd.
Many other choices for dining in town so go there, this place is not worth it.

We had breakfast and dinner there. I loved the breakfast potatoes! The view from the restaurant is amazing! Overall, I thought the food was very good. Definitely convenient since we were staying in the hotel.

Not much to write about. Everything kinda tastes like it came from a box. 🤔 Turkey pot pie looked like it had been cut out of a store bought pie from Costco or something (tasted like that to) nothing tastes like it was made in house or even attempted.
