We went to Cafe Bar Turrisi yesterday for lunch. The penis theme of the bar is really fun. And the Drus Nero D'avola wine was great. So was the almond cake. But the pastas barely had any taste. The service quality was rather bad -...More

If You are easily offended and don't have a sense of humor don't come. The decor inside is all phallic, from door handles, tiles, menu, glassware, bathroom sink fixtures, chairs, light fixtures, statues, even the coffee machine. we came for lunch and were not disappointed....More

Had lunch here on 26 September 2018 after walking up from Taormina. Probably better known for the phallic theme of the décor, we found the food and service perfectly acceptable, and certainly not poor or bland as others had warned us it would be. Also...More

Probably better known for its “interesting” decor which does seem to have gravitational pull we found Caffe Bat Turrisi a charming place to have a drink and chill out. It’s on several levels up winding spiral staircases and, no pun intended, is genuinely interesting on...More

Went there twice, food's good, although a bit pricey, almond wine's excellent, "special" interiour with a love for detail. BUT: the service is unfriendly and/or unenthusiastic. No smile, no joke, just routine. And, when you're Italian you get to pay first with the bartender behind the...More

Food was nothing special and slighly over priced for what you get, but the views from their balconies are spectacular. Staff are very friendly and polite.

Ok let’s get past the giggling part. This place is full of penises! Huge wooden ones on tables, seats have them on arm rests, taps resemble them and even the coffee machine dispenses through one! I’ve visited here several times over the years and enjoyed...More

Description
The bar Turrisi is a place of worship located in Castelmola. Founded in 1947 at the hands of the rider Salvatore Turrisi, was born as an inn for foreigners where they were sipping tasty almond wine made with white grapes and infusion of bitter almonds. Structure after the war that has turned into a hotel, here you can enjoy over the almond wine, pizzas, pasta dishes ices and ice cream. Also extends over four elevations with views of the Duomo of Castelmola Gulf of Giardini Naxos and Mount Etna. He became famous for his sculptures representing the phallic worship and the very free social custom that made Taormina a cultural reference for many artists and not. Many magazines show us how one of the attractions of Sicily, but we like to think that convey a thought of being Sicilian and freedom of expression, in a structure difficult to manage since the 4 levels. Who does not know how to interpret these places far from wanting to be rude, and does not know or does not have the respect of all that, the place to find elsewhere.
