We have been eating at The Mews for some 15 years - every time we visit Barbados in Dec/Jan - and have always really loved it. On Thursday we decided to go for dinner and were extremely disappointed. If you want the full 'Fawlty Towers' experience then have dinner at The Mews. Firstly they brought me the wrong starter -... More

We have mixed experiences whilst on our holiday in Barbados and I am pleased to report that this was one of the better ones. It did help that we got one of only two tables on the upstairs balcony so we could watch the world go by as we had our meal. My wife really enjoyed her King Fish as... More

From the entrance, we had no idea what to expect but once inside, the decor and atmosphere were lovely, and the sweet potato gnocchi was fantastic. We had drinks before dinner upstairs on the balcony, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Would love to be more upbeat as the staff were typically helpful and polite for the Island, but regrettably the dishes are variable in quality. Wife had the goats cheese starter and the pork main and was complimentary. I had the stuffed tomato and the lamb shank, both were very poor, particularly the lamb which was virtually inedible. A great... More

We were recommended this restaurant and I never knew it was so nice. Formal dining upstairs , nice atmosphere, attentive staff and great food. Would go back again.

The dinner was fantastic - no dish was any disappointing! But i especially want to mention the soup: don't miss the coconut-sweet potato soup, it is just out of this world! After dinner, we got some really delicious drinks at the bar downstairs where a live DJ was playing a really pleasant set. The service was exceptional as well.

Food good, I chose off the daily special menu which had good choices. Service efficient and very friendly. Would definitely go back.

Went with a group of guys for a bachelor party. To sum up the experience, it was "Awesome"! Years ago, I went with family and the experience was so bad that we got up and walked out, vowing never to return. However, in February 2016, I met the new house manager and new chef at Girlfriends Expo (a local expo... More

Just got back from dinner at The Mews and loved it. After being at a number of restaurants on the island and waiting over an hour at most places for our food, The Mews was spot on. The atmosphere was great, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back...

One of our old favourite haunts, and the food tonight as good as ever- the calamari starter was superb ( not rings deep fried in batter!!) and my main course of tuna was beautifully cooked. Staff were as lovely as ever, and the service pretty slick considering how busy they were- well done all- we'll be back!
