This used to be a great cheap and cheerful local restaurant with personal service. Now, as I wait for over 45 mins for the courses to follow our tandoori chicken (finished 30mins ago) I've counted over a dozen UberEATS, dileveroo and foodorah be served while those at tables continue to wait. The next table ordered their meals from the takeaway... More

This place may not look much from the outside but the food was outstanding! All dishes were served piping hot and in traditional cookware. We sampled a wide selection and there wasn't one that was not tasty...do yourself a favour...

I ordered food from here via the Foodora app and it arrived within the time frame allocated. The tikka masala was very nice, and the cucumber dip was nice also. However, l received more cucumber dip than the delish Indian ice cream, which only came in a tiny plastic container. I would put the ice cream in a similiar-sized container... More

This place opened years ago. It was for a time the most popular of the local Indian restaurants. Some competitors opened up but they have gone to the wall and Kake lives on. If you go to New York or Hanoi or London there are restaurants like this. They serve food based on three broad sauce types with rice and... More

Went here for my mum's birthday dinner and we were very well fed. Had an entrée to share and a 1 main per person in the middle of the table. The perfect amount. The peshwari naan was my favourite, reminding me of eating it as a child!

We just had take-out and really hoped for a nice meal. The tandoori chicken was dyed with a lot too much food colouring, my fingers were still bright orange the next day! The flavour had nothing to do with tandoori. Palak paneer was ok but nothing special. It was indeed cheap but good Indian food does not require expensive ingredients... More

Just take away for us but the food was great. The Butter Chicken is a 'specialty', best we've tasted. The Lamb Kadhai tasty too. Service is friendly & efficient. We'll be returning to try some other dishes.

Kake Di Hatti is a perfectly nice restaurant and I enjoyed my meal, but it was nothing overly special for me. I had heard quite a lot of hype and perhaps I was expecting too much.

I've only had take away from here, haven't eaten in(probably wouldn't). The food is okay, is popular with the youngsters and students who live in the area. Its light on quality ingredients, big on generous helpings and cheap. The multitudes of food vans that park in this area are giving places like this a run for their money
