Outside it looked too simple, but the menu attracted attention. It is a Balkanic cousin with several options for meat lovers (I am not vegan, so did not check the menu). We finished our lunch in 30 min. Very fast and friendly service, English speaking...staff. In addition a good selection of Balkan wines. We will go there pretty soon (3rd time). The plates are full and the bill was budget-friendlyMore

Good food, fast service, so it is also crowded and noisy. A lot of tired and noisy kids were making a really loud noise.

We were a group of four. Service was excellent, portions were more than big enough. I had the chevre (goat's cheese) en papillote and the duck, both where delicious and the cuisson of the duck was perfect. Would definitely recommend! :-)

Simple but brilliant grilled meats. Tasty, great service, good prices. I live nearby & I’ve never walked past when it’s quiet. Great for carnivores!

Our fantastic meal last night at a Balkan restaurant called Folklor. We've never had Balkan food before and their speciality is grilled meat that lured us to try this one. It's a warm & cozy place, the waiters are super friendly & suggested what we...should try. First came the Plat du Patron (pic 1) - grilled mushroom, cevapcici, pork skewers, lamb steak. Next was Mix Grill (pic 2) - roast beef, cevapcici, pork skewers (Raznici), grilled bacon, liver pate. Each meat was melt in the mouth & perfectly grilled. Cevapcici is a Balkan sausage (Slavic/Serbian) made of beef+pork and we could have eaten plates of it. The liver pate was superbly seasoned and smooth, i took a second helping though i don't like liver. Lastly, they served us amazing shots of a Croatian aperitif on-the-house that deserves a separate post. Folklor is a must in Brussels if you're a meat-lover.More

Spacy, lovely and fresh. The food is very tasty, the service is perfect, the tables have space and you are not sticked to other customers, as in most of other restaurants in Brussels.

I like meat and I like the Balkan food: simple, but tasty. The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and the atmosphere is not formal, but cozy. I personally like cevapcici and, of course, pljeskavica with kaimak cheese. The prices are low, but the...food quality is good, the service is fast. Recommended!More

Nothing outstanding, but the food and the service were quite ok. Typically eastern-European grilled meat.

Nice service and good balkanic food, specially meat. Try cevapcici to feel like if you are back in the old Yugoslavia

The second time I have eaten here, the last time around a year ago. The recent meal was excellent. While two of the people with whom I was dining had grilled meats...succulent liver and the tenderest steak, I opted for a selection of appetisers, and...this was perfect for me. The chef kindly prepared the mushrooms for me without bread crumbs and that, coupled with the foil baked chevre and the tenderest grilled ham was perfect. On the wine list there is Vranac, but no Pr Corde, but nonetheless the Vranac was actually good. The restaurant was very busy, but this did not affect the service at all which was efficient and polite. Perhaps it helped that one of the party spoke the language! The cost was about 40 euros a head which included the wine and water, as well as one espresso. No deserts or starters. Excellent value for money.More

The restaurant I regularly visit since May 2014. The best grill meat in town, the owner is a genuine expert in grill. Always super fresh food, home made soups, best cabbage salad, or mixed salad, all the side dishes and sauces only fresh made, authentic...food and deserts of Balkan region origin, but also sea food. Menu sometimes depend on what was fresh on the market, as it is purchased on the daily base, or even half day base. The same owner is for 42 years having the restaurant in this location in Brussels and that speaks for itself. Excellent choice of wine, relaxed atmosphere, many regular clients. Excellent quality for super prices. Every time I want to have a good food, good wine and easy time I go there! And the most important for me having serous food intolerance I never ever felt sick after eating FOLKLOR food! Fabio (the owner) takes a look at you and he knows how hungry you are!! 42 years of experience...More
