I can't really think of a single negative about this place. The food was fantastic and the service was great. The place itself was warm and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be heading back!
From the outside Sapori looks like it should be an industrial building. Boy does that change once inside. The decor is great and the open kitchen at the far end is immaculate. The food and service are first class. The main of prawn risotto with...burrata could not have been bettered.
We travelled twenty miles to eat here and we will be repeating the journey many times. Go and see for yourselves!More
We arrived to celebrate our silver wedding. We were shown to our table by the head waiter. He was curtious and friendly throughout the evening and made us feel very welcome. We chose the taster menu, 8 courses, and we were each time, amazed by...the flavours, presentation, and given a description of each dish by another friendly waiter. We were asked if we had any food allergies before we begun. We didn't, but it was nice to know, they would cater for that if we did. Each dish was amazing. We finally came to the end of the courses, and felt nicely full and happy. We were made to feel special, even when we were leaving, the head chef ame out to shake our hands and thank us for choosing the. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this place. Stunning.More
When they serve you octopus & it tastes like heaven, when they bring your sweet & you feel like you’re vandalising fine art by cutting into it - that’s how they got the Michelin star…. Not just a meal, an orgasm at the table. Go...& see for yourself.More
Not so much one of the finest Italian meals I've ever had, more one of the finest meals I've ever had, period. This is food that ticks a lot of boxes, well presented, fresh, and really, really delicious. The portions were not so small that...you feel cheated but not so massive that you feel you've overdone it after your dessert (and trust me, you'll want to try the desserts). The sides are definitely worth having as well, the bread in particular was a bit of a hit.
Atmosphere wise, it's a lovely, relaxed place. Busy but not overcrowded. For those of you concerned about Covid, the staff were masked up and the tables spaced enough to feel comfortable. Hand sanitiser was available as well.
The service managed to hit that fine balance of just being efficient enough that you never had to wait to long but not so efficient you felt intruded upon or that they were in a rush to get you finished and out. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, couldn't find anything there to fault at all.
There is a Deposit taken for booking at the time of writing, £30 in my case. Please don't let that put you off, frankly, if that's all they charge for no shows then they're selling themselves short in my opinion.
In summary, fantastic food, nice atmosphere, excellent staff. Go and enjoy, your taste-buds will thank youMore
Had a wonderful time out at Sapori, the restaurant is decorated in a modern but classy fashion which gives the meal a sense of occasion. The food was fresh and delicious. Would definitely return again.
As an ex-waitress in a high quality restaurant, it is genuinely difficult to enjoy a meal out anywhere without spotting what the staff could do better, but Sapori’s is somewhere I have genuinely never had that problem. The pandemic has only improved that.
We went...for my mum’s birthday today. The food was incredible, the service was even better. The man (sorry I don’t know his name) who I believe was in charge of front of house for the night was kind, funny, professional and informed. As if that wasn’t enough the other members of staff who served us were equally funny, lovely and knew exactly everything about the menus (a rarity in my experience)!
On top of that, the food was sensational. The steak my mum had was genuinely the best any of us had ever tasted and that’s saying something! My dad had monkfish, equally cooked to perfection, but my favourite thing about Sapori’s is always the desserts, and they did not disappoint again.
All in all, Sapori’s is an incredible restaurant with not only sensational food but also service which is as close to perfect as I have ever experienced in a restaurant! Congratulations Sapori’s, we’ll be coming back extremely often!More
Yesterday my wife and I had a totally memorable lunchtime meal at our favourite Italian restaurant, Sapori in Anstey, Leicestershire. We are not exactly regulars (once or twice a month) and we are never disappointed. From the moment you enter into the dining room (beautiful...decor and imaginative lighting) you know you are in an environment that is conducive to eating! The kitchen is open to view and I find it fascinating to watch the artists at work. To our meal then, my wife had king sea scallops and I chose a favourite, octopus. The quality of Sapori seafood is beyond compare. For our second course my wife Clare chose a medley of fish, including mackerel, salmon, sea bass, and cod. I chose the filetto of beef, with spinach, perfectly cooked to my preference. A very good white wine for my wife was followed by a stunningly good red wine suggested by our host Luigi. If you have not visited Sapori you must! This is food created with typically Italian love and expertise. Lunchtime is a great time to have a Sapori experience as tables are avaiable at short notice. Go on, treat yourself to heavanly food.More
Luigi and the rest of the family really know how to cook. Outstanding service, taste and presentation only achieved by diligent learning, artistry and being adventurous! Of course, all good things come at a price and this restaurant is not the cheapest but the food’s...heaven from the first bite.More
