Can't go wrong in eating a noontime full course meal here. Plentiful and very good eating. Everyone partakes, young and older, groups, families,,so if looking for quiet, best to choose the booth section on right. Pizza afficionados ?! check out their 'Chateau special'.. the best I've eaten for miles around.

relatively new building..clean.good servie even on a busy night. Someone had recommended that we try the Pizza...they were right the Pizza was very good

We went there sunday and the food was perfect but the noise in the place is something to be aware of. Groups are making the place so noisy you wish you were somewhere else. The service was OK as the food but the sound level made the event an horrible experience...

Not only did they charge for appetizers I never ordered, they were billed the full amount instead of the special. When I called the restaurant to complain they told me nothing can be done. Rip off

Excellent simple restaurant! And bring-your-own-wine restaurant...

Simple cuisine, excellent food, gargantuan plates ... and not expensive! Add to that that your bring your own wine and you have an excellent place to eat with friends or family... You have to try the pizza ... definitely the best traditional pizza!! One thing though which is not so pleasant ... very noisy!!

Smell of carrion

Around 8:15 p.m., after eating our main meal, a nauseating smell of carrion invaded the restaurant. Customers and employees hid their noses with their sweaters or napkins. At that moment, in panic, the employees began to open all the doors of the restaurant and put on fruit spray to try to camouflage the smell of carrion that was hitting the nose and throat. Customers complained about the smell and rushed to pay to get out of the restaurant as quickly as possible, the restaurant was crowded with people and it emptied in less than 2. More than an hour after leaving the restaurant , our clothes are impregnated with the smell. We tried to find out from the employees what smelled so much like carrion. One of them told us that it was a piece of fish that had just been found at the bottom of a fridge. Another employee told us that it was a piece of meat in the kitchen but she couldn't tell us more because her superior was behind her and watching her every word. On several occasions, we heard a superior come and speak to his waitresses using the word MAPAQ. I noticed that in the kitchen they had brought out the heavy artillery (rag, mop, bucket, soap) to wash everything quickly to try to make the smell disappear. Our table d'hôte unfinished, we left paying the entire bill, without even having an apology from the superior or even having a discount. My 3 year old daughter was constantly complaining about the smell and she was gagging several times. On several occasions, our waitress had to leave the restaurant to get some fresh air because the smell was too strong, she would say to the customer: "It disgusts me, I can't do it anymore" and she would run out.

Delicious and lots of restaurant choices

As we arrived late, around 7:30, the restaurant was very quiet but also busy, we were really hungry so we ordered a pizza...all dressed...with double sauce which was really very delicious. I really like BYOB restaurants. Our waitress Sylvie was very pleasant with us and the service was perfect. We are going back very soon with a couple of friends. I highly recommend this restaurant because there is everything to eat, the salad looks excellent... see you soon Château d'Or...
