When I arrived there were 2 woman inside, and a boy and hist mother outside waiting. The sign on the door said “only one person or one couple inside at a time”, so I stood in the sun waiting. After about 15 minutes the boy...and his mother gave up an left. I waited another 10 minutes and left as well. I know its a Covit 19 precaution, but seriously, there is room inside the restaurant to keep customers 6 feet apart for at least 3 or four customers. I need a knee replacement so standing was outside agony directly in the hot son. I have bought food here before and like it, but seriously why cant people order, move away from the counter and let the next person order and so on . At least tat way there is some hope of getting food that you want and if the orders are the same as other s then the speed of preparation might increase.More

The Angle Iron Kitchen in a prior life was a highly rated food truck at Young's Point serving a variety of gourmet poutines. Brian Henry's current creation is operating out of a small building in Lakefield with three seat and a primarily take out business.....They make the most outstanding spin on taco's loaded with interesting ingredients. A true tour de force on your taste buds. The actual space is funky and clean and sells products from the chef's sister company the Spice House. Service from the lovely Tommy was outstanding.More

My partner and I were so happy to find this place after reading about it online. Located just off highway 28, this place was a quick drive from Peterborough - and well worth it. The menu is quite unique, with more than your typical 'chip-truck'...offerings. My partner ordered Chicken and Waffles and I ordered the Mac-n-cheese Poutine. We were told the chicken would take 15 minutes (a good sign, cooked fresh) so we went to have a seat. We grabbed our drinks and had a seat. I was pleased that they offered a variety of cool drinks include bottles of cane sugar pops and sugar-free soda water. As someone who doesn't drink sugar beverages I was happy to have options other than water. There were several picnic tables with umbrellas in the yard that was behind the food truck. The ambiance was not as pleasant as I would hope, given that the yard was used mostly for junk storage. Fortunately the eating areas and service areas were clean (and food trucks don't typically provide decorated eating spaces). As soon as the food arrived, I stopped caring about the yard. My poutine was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, with sauces and pickled onions and regular onions and cheese curds galore. The flavours went so well together, and I felt like I was having an elevated nostalgic trip, as mac-n-cheese was a staple in my house as a child. The fries were perfectly cooked and the ratio of fries to toppings was perfect. My partner said that his fried chicken was probably the best he had ever had. Put on top of 2 waffles and served with a personal container of syrup, he was in heaven. This food truck could be considered pricey, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and range of ingredients. I could not make this or find this food anywhere else. I highly recommend this food truck to anyone with an itch for filling, tasty casual eats.More
