Do I hear zero (out of five)? I’m a very liberal, if not generous, restaurant reviewer. This place doesn’t get a one. Our experience started with a waitress who, when we asked for a standard menu, provided it with her right hand and ripped the...tablet off our table with her left. When we mentioned that we would like to vary our order with some ordering menu items, and others ordering the “all you can eat” tablet selection, she proclaimed that was “not ok”. And that’s the best part of the experience. With Rusty lettuce, food that was yucky, and an overpriced menu, there’s no need to return. And I mean ever!More

Ordering the food on a tablet and trying different types of cuisine was a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion! Lots of choices and great desserts too

Big selection of food. They have a salad bar with soups, salads, desserts and ice cream. It's a good way to start, but don't fill up since the food comes fairly quickly. They have tablets for you to order. It's a big selection -- mostly...foods you have seen elsewhere. It's my suggestion not to order everything at once. Order a few dishes, eat and then order more. The service is a little dicey. We were a group of 10 and various dishes were combined so when it came to the table not everyone knew what was theirs. Still, we liked the food well enough and would go again. Our grandchildren especially like the tablet so they can order themselves! But, be prepared -- the place is very crowded and noisy. Be sure to make a reservation. We were there on a weekend and I think the dinner was about $33 each adult. I didn't pay the bill so I'm not sure. It's less money for lunch. And, dinner Monday through Thursday is also less money.More

Great value for around $17 AYCE lunch. Enjoyed ordering from iPad as you don’t need to wait for waiter to come by. There is also a salad bar and dessert area. Food quality was good and many options. Nice decor. They even had dishes I...don’t normally see on sushi menu ie roti (which was tasty). Can’t wait to return.More

To start off with the positives, the restaurant has a very nice interior and is very cozy and modern, and that is the only positive thing about it. As for the negatives, the restaurant staff is extremely rude and very unorganized. The server was literally...throwing plates of sushi onto our table. No server came up even once to check in on us and see how we are doing. It was almost impossible to get a drink refill since most of the servers were completely ignoring our table. As for the sushi, to be honest I've had much better. The first plate of sushi we ordered looked okay however as I was about the place one on my own separate plate I noticed a piece of fish skin attached to it and that ruined my appetite for the rest of the day. It was impossible to get someone to make a new roll until I got up and found the manager. We did receive a new roll without a problem however this minor detail made me inspect the sushi all night. Another thing is while the server was carrying our sushi and throwing it onto our table the sushi roll was getting completely destroyed and falling apart. The staff is very unprofessional and very rude. If you are looking for good service and good quality sushi then this is the worst place to go for that. I was very disappointed with my food and the service that I was getting.More

The service was just ok. Servers where a little too busy and too little attentive but the food was nice. Nice rolls, nice steak with garlic, nice miso soup. All and all a nice place with a fair price.

There are limited restaurants of this type in Thornhill, so pickings are slim. Vegetarian options exist and portions are reasonable in size and price. The server had trouble with understanding the question about whether the soup was vegetarian and not fish based. Regardless of the...type of restaurant, the location dictates the required language proficiency of servers. Questions about ingredients are extremely important due to allergies, sensitivities, and vegetarian needs.More

The Asian girl that’s working today is extremely rude, the food is ok here however the service is crap. If you are looking for good service don’t come here, be ready to be treated like crap, with disrespect and everything in a hurry, plus be...ready to be seated in a very crowded area even when the rest of the restaurant is empty. Google, Yelp and other sites has their closing hours set at 11pm, however when you go in they tell you they close at 9:30pm. When I went in, the Chinese lady kept on yelling to the other male waiter to tell us that they close at 9:30pm, and she was talking in Chinese in a very loud rude way, like she just wanted us to eat and finish fast. So I decided to leave and I came to my fav restaurant Yang Sushi they open till 11pm everyday and last call 10:30pm. I would never like to go back to Kuu Sushi again. I’ll be posting this review on several other sites and blogs.More

So sorry -- I don't have restrictions when I eat so I really don't know about gluten free food. But, I note they speak English pretty well so I think you can call and ask them.
