We have not been here for a year or two. They used to have good breakfast not anymore and costly for basic breakfast. We certainly would not go back here for breakfast. Cheap margarine smeared all over cold toast. Bacon so hard it was awful.

We went out for dinner with another couple and waited 20 minutes for a table at Roxi's. The food was okay at best and was large portions on the plate. The service was poor but mostly because there was very little staff on during the...dinner time and not sure if this is the norm. The staff tried hard but couldn't overcome the needs of the customers with the staff on shift. The meal was delivered to 3 of us at once and the 4th meal came a few minutes later. Good meal but nothing out of the ordinary and just large portions that none of us could finish. Would try again but would not recommend if the same service and food was presented.More
Very friendly staff and solid breakfast. In an area of Selkirk that is part of a revitalization effort and Roxie’s is right in the middle. Will definitely come back.
For 15 years our family has picked up & dined in, this is the first time ever that all four of us were not pleased. Burger not fully cooked, pizza toppings cut in half, and it was just not cooked or tasted the same. Now...I think I know why…..and I’m shocked I had no idea there was new owners and I’m dying now! This was the only restaurant we could count on and now it’s gone as of course they think they know better & have already started to make changes, I mean cooks prepare different but being cheap on portions you cannot do that here, & this place made it because of return customers & word of mouth….well I will give it one more try, but until then I’m not sending anyone there like used to.More
There are new owners here and apparently that aren't trying hard enough to keep Roxie's as it was. Deserts the last two times have been almost empty, this never happened before. The roast beef changed to some strange flavored beef, completely different from what it...was before, they did tell us this but it wasn't pleasant. Please, please DO NOT change things, they were very good as they were. This happened to another restaurant in Selkirk and they ended up closing. Will try again, but hopefully new management will listen ! We travel from Winnipeg to Selkirk just for your restaurant because there are so few decent places in the big city.More
Wonderful food with friendly service. Giant coffee cups. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals, was bigger than expected. Glad they check everyone for vax status.
I do like to try the local /non-chain restaurants - especially those with high rating like. All that I ask is for good service and good quality food at a reasonable price that is reflective of the menu. In this case, I stopped in for...some lunch but opted for breakfast (a nice option after noon) and ordered the 'meat lovers' bowl. The issue I have is the 'meat' component of the bowl was completely underwhelming. It should have been called the potato lovers bowl as at least half of it was potato. The meat consisted of some pieces of low-end breakfast sausage (maybe 1 piece, maybe); with a sprinkling of bacon and ham. No where near being what you might expect for 'meat lovers'. Come on guys - deliver what you advertise. On the positive - the server was very nice and attentive.More
Dog tired from an uber-hot day at the cottage, looking for a good dinner that we didn't have to cook in the unairconditioned kitchen, we heard from friends that Roxi's was a good place to dine (not just eat). Boy were they right! We arrived...at 7:30 half expecting to be told dinner service was near over but instead Jen herded us to a huge booth, mask in place. The special was a full rack of ribs which sounded just fine to me and my wife ordered the pot roast off the menu. It took a while for our order due to the fact that they cooked the ribs to order!!! I have a huge aversion to the flavor of twice cooked pork so I was a little apprehensive when the generous-to-overflowing platter arrived, heaped with golden fries done to a turn. My wife's pot roast was accompanied by a too-large baked potato and gravy. We tucked in and were thoroughly satisfied with the meal and Jen's excellent /friendly service. Pretty soon, the tables began to fill up so we were guessing this was a spot favored by late diners. If you are in Selkirk, be sure and stop in. The desserts looked amazing but we were too stuffed to try any. Price was affordable and a good value.More
This is a combo place dining room one side and bar the other side. We were there on a Saturday evening. The diningnroom was full so we chose the bar side to eat in. The bar is definitely a throw back to 1980. Our server...was awesome. The place was full. Let me talk about the food. 2 people had ribs. They said they were good, just a bit heavy on the sauce. Two people had wraps. And they are awesome. The fries are the best in the province. Portion size is huge. Very good value for your money. Now lets talk about the atmosphere. Carpets are pretty dirty. Orange level Covid protocol was to be in effect in selkirk. Which means mask wearing for everyone. So a lot of the guests in the bar where ignoring this. Walking around with a mask around the neck. Taking their drinks from table to table to visit with people. Alot of hugging of people from different tables. This is a small town, so it appears that alot of people know each other. One guy lighting his cigarette in the bar before going outside. I get it must be tough for the staff to inforce the laws because these all seem like local people. And these people pay the bills. i gave 4 stars because the food was great, and our server was great. I will not be returning until covid19 is over. i just cant risk it. So unfortunately it might be a while.More
Road trip to the Interlake, nice to get out of the city. Realized my tummy was growling, looked at the time, wow gotta decide where to eat. Craving salad with grilled chicken, Roxi’s here we come. Did not wait long, tables spaced according to social...distancing rules. Friendly staff, great food. Lot of takeout activity happening. You gotta eat here.......More
Stopped in for lunch. I remember eating there during last year’s car show. 2 ordered burgers. Big fat, melted cheese, lettuce tomato bacon, heaping full of goodness. I had the Rheuben Sandwich. Fat rye bread, pile of corned beef, and sauerkraut, asked for Bleu Cheese...instead of 1000 Island. Sandwich came exactly as asked. Hot, tasty and downright declicious goodness. Only 2 concerns. Found 1 sanitizer after asking where it was. It was at the cash desk to use on your way out, but. . nothing on the way in...... And Ketchup bottles on the tables. Com’on, you guys know, not allowed condiments on the table, this is Covid times. Each table had it, we didnt dare use it. Otherwise excellent food, good valu. On receiving our bills, I asked the female server to ask me how I liked my sandwich. You could see she went in defensive mode & took a step back. Almost preparing for terrible news. I told her it was absolutely delicious . Left $2. Tip. Sandwich was $8.95 inc tax. Would have left more, if she asked me, all on her own, “ how is your food?” Maybe next time. . .More
Drove out from Winnipeg to Selkirk to eat here with a friend. The food is simply fabulous and reasonably priced. same for the deserts. Service is fine. They are socially distancing their tables. The wait was not too long. They have lots of internal space...for dining. This place is worth the drive, especially in these cyrus the covid-19 virus times.More
Service was good....hardly any wait @ all. Food was delicious & servings were large & very reasonably priced. Only negative is regarding the lady who took our payment. No greeting or smile but lots of sighing bcs we were paying & there were a couple...of people waiting to be seated. She acted like this was just way too much to ask of her!More
Just had pizza. Medium Deluxe. When we got there that said they ran out of shrimp. The pizza itself was overcooked and crust very burnt. Will not be going back there for pizza again!
We try to get to Roxie's at least twice a month, always once on a Saturday for the ribs, and once during the week for a supper. We usually order the pickerel or fish and chips, but my husband loves the burgers and I enjoy...the salads! When we're in luck, there will be carrot cake for us to share, one piece is way to much for one person. We always look forward to seeing Diane, behind the counter, and we have always had great service from the waiters and waitresses that have served us over the years. It's our go to place whenever we have company in from out of town.More
