We frequently visit Ogmore for a walk with the dog on the beach and due to the lack of dog friendly establishments head home. Passing the Watermill we noticed a dog friendly sign. Under previous management dogs were not welcome. Our visit was superb. Dog friendly aside, the afternoon was perfect. The staff are extremely welcoming and can't do enough.... More

We were pleasantly surprised as we had thought it would be smaller. It was a nice cozy atmosphere, with some comfy chairs and sofas. It had a wonderful aroma of food cooking. We had a dog with us and so sat in another large room. Plenty of space for a few families with dogs. The food was really very good... More

We decided to pop here for a relaxed lunch today - just my wife & I, with our new baby. It was a Friday lunchtime in winter, so we expected it to be quiet - but it was actually reasonably busy (at least 10 other tables having lunch). They have a nice mix of a country pub feel, with a... More

The Watermill has upped its game a lot over recent years. I ordered a fillet steak (these are not cheap) and it was well worth the money. Nice sized succulent fillet with a stunning sauce, great fries and accompaniments. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. I have taken many a client there including a TV presenter. I... I've not been to the Watermill for some time but had heard they now had a dog friendly room. The room is massive with water bowl and dog treats at the ready. The food, as usual, was of a high standard and they have increased their vegetarian range. Good sized portions, friendly staff, what more could you ask for.

I eat at the watermill most sundays with my young family. I live only 5 minutes from here so its in a great location. Theres ample parking and it has a great outdoor seating area. The food is always fantastic. I enjoy the new menus which change every 6 months or so. The specials board and celtic pride beef steaks... More

I took a friend here for a steak supper which she had been looking forward to for some time. On arrival we had a great welcome and asked to find a suitable table which we were happy to do. A nice atmosphere with fire burning brightly. The restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated. Staff were very pleasant but appeared to... More

Called in around 4pm for a Sunday lunch, the Service was a little slow and we did wait quiet a while for the food, but to be fair, it was worth waiting for, but why do they use instant mash potato? The price was ok at around £10 a head but £6.40 for a large glass of Red Wine did... More

Called in for a late lunch recently on a Saturday. Our 1st choice (Cobbles) across the road - was full, so we came here instead. Typical pub decor but does feel cosy. We were seated next to a log fire which our waiter had just 'got going'. LOVE a log fire, so that was a nice touch. I chose the... More

Stopped by on Sunday, it was my mothers birthday. The pub was nice and clean and the staff couldn't do any more to make it better. I agree with a previous review that there wasn't a big option for vegetarians, this is a Brains chain pub so I didn't expect it to be honest. I went for the mushrooms to... More

Our focus is on providing a warm welcome, friendly attentive service and great food. Our flexible menu allows us to ensure items are fresh and seasonable. Real log fires for the cold winter months and a large beer garden for warmer weather provide plenty of reasons to visit all year round.
