Situated in an ancestral stone building, the owners have kept the old world charm while serving up contemporary french cuisine, with some elements of international fusion type inspirations. The service is excellent, as to be expected when the owners are present to oversee the day to day operations. The chef will apparently accomodate requests made in a timely manner ,as they do accept larger group reservations ( birthdays, family events, professional gatherings...)My wife and I are return customers and have sampled many different offers, from blood sausage to duck and roast beef.. never disappointed.

We went to this lovely restaurant on a Saturday evening with 7 family members. We were seated quickly outside where we could here the live music but still had some private space and were able to carry on conversations without having to compete with the music. The wait staff and servers did their best to make us feel welcome and speak English as our entire party was English speaking. This restaurant is high quality food with amazing prices so you can enjoy a high quality meal with fresh ingredients and not break the bank. Some of our favourites were the tartar, the charcuterie board, the octopus, the beef rib, blood sausage, pork ribs and the Tex Mex. Needless to say with a large party you get to try a lot of dishes and all of them were great. You can't go wrong with any thing and if you still have room for dessert I recommend the creme brulee( it's big enough to share!) Delicious food, great ambiance and amazing staff!!

It was our first visit to L'Assomption in Quebec, on the main street called L'Ange Gardien, plenty of restaurants and nice shops. We chose to have lunch at Taboo restaurant after having checked the menu of couple of other restaurants. The menu is rich with original plates at reasonable prices, specially that you can easily share your order because the portions are generous. so we ordered six mini burgers and a large salad wit a bloody Caesar.. The waiter had a smiley face and offered us a good service. we were very pleased with our choice.

A great smoke meat with the trimmings you want. Definitely worth a visit when travelling the nearby highway.

The best teriaki chicken on a hot plate I had. Asian served in a homey environment. Don't expect high end decor.

Went out for a night with the boys this place is amazing ive been going since they opened and it only gets better amazing food and staff knows their beers can’t recommend enough

My wife and I were driving to Quebec City from Montreal and we stopped by this little place. Great atmosphere and great service! We both got bison burgers which were outstanding. Their English was good so had not trouble communicating. Highly recommend!

Great service, the waitress knew the menu and she always came to see if everything was fine! And the food was Delicious! Will be back! :)

The food is ok. Noting special on the menu, all standard italian dishes. Very trendy so make sure you have a reservation.
