We were a party of 9, 4 adults and 5 children, with no reservation, looking for a table in Miami Beach in a busy time of the year (between Christmas and NYEve). The sympathy of the staff conquered us right away, trying to seat us as quickly as possible because of the children. We ordered 2 of the options in the kids’ menu, both tasting like the real Italian cuisine: fresh tomato sauce for the meatballs and fettuccini Alfredo. The adults tried the burrata, the salmon tartare, the tuna stake and a salad. It all tasted deliciously! Two of us were celebrating birthdays and the staff put on some music and lit candles and cheered for us, it was a great moment! Lu, a really nice Argentinian young lady waiting on us, surprised us with her Portuguese learnt in school. Lu is not only really nice and attentive, she also seams very dedicated! We had such a wonderful experience at Amalfi that we booked our next visit immediately!
We stumbled upon this place in our fave block of Española Way. An extremely personable server, Julianne, greeted us with such a great smile and warm personality that we asked the host to be seated in her section. We chose an assortment of small plates from the Happy Hour, menu 5-7pm ($6.95 each of the maki rolls, super-fresh sashimi, excellent ceviche, etc etc), as well as some good reds by the glass (also $6.95/ glass). We went off the Happy Hour menu in order to try the House salad ($15) and it was SENSATIONAL, so good in fact that we ordered a second salad! We were dining with a 12-year old and Julianne was patient and kind as he pored thru the menu, helping him to make choices. The total bill, with countless plates and 6 glasses of wine, including taxes and tip, was $180.00. Here for just 4 nights, we will return happily return! Go here... just don't take our table!
This one is hard to rate because there were so many good ratings but a couple of bad ratings. So, I’ll start with all the good ratings first: 5 stars- Location, atmosphere, service (Ms Nunez), and food tasting. This restaurant is in an upscale neighborhood, with a super trendy decor. They play cool funky music that makes one smile. My teen daughters were loving every minute of this experience. The dress is semi formal. It was fun to try the upscale different foods. They have some things that “smoke,” a couple of the drinks and appetizers. 0 stars- Price of “special appetizers.” We got offered a tuna ceviche appetizer that we were told was excellent. It was $60 and was not told it was a toro (which is very expensive); it came with 4 chips, one for each of us , but needed to have 8 chips. This appetizer was more money than any of our entrees. This appetizer was worth about $16. If you can’t charge a lessor price for this, delete if from the menu. 0 stars- My husband wanted an Old Fashioned and the waitress offered an Old Fashioned special with Japanese whiskey, but did not include the price. The drink was $35 versus the Old Fashioned on the menu for $16. We ordered one drink, four appetizers, four entrees, and two desserts, and our bill with tip was $475. Recommendation to customers, order what you want and don’t be persuaded to accept restaurant offerings because these are what are very pricey.
Called in for a last minute dinner reservation during our vacation in Miami. Spoke to Erik and he said 45 min wait. We arrived there 15 minutes early and checked in, Erik told us we are a bit early but assured us if a table becomes available he will get us in. 5 minutes later he told us a table was available inside instead of the outside table we requested for. We were glad that we dined inside as it was till hot and humid outside. Erik also offered my son a kids baker set while waiting for our food to play with. Our waiter Mirko promptly greeted us after we were seated. Took our drink orders. Mirko ask took the time to explain what was in the menu and told us that their pasta was made on-site . “They were literally making it on the front window”. We ordered Chitarra allo scoglio and Pollo Marsala for my wife and I. The kids had their typical spaghetti 🍝. A bottle of wine 🍷 made our dinner wonderful. The food was great and we finally had no leftovers. We ate everything!! What makes this restaurant more special is the their customer service. Mirko was attentive and very helpful. Lastly this restaurant does not “automatically” include the tip on their bill. Out of All the restaurants we dined in Miami, they automatically included 18% tip. I don’t mind it since I give a standard 20% tip but if an establishment wants to impose an automatic 18% charge then I will leave it that ..lol. Thanks Mirko and Erik for your excellent customer service!!
It is my second time here at Pummarola Miami Beach. The place is nice, clean and cozy. Their pizza is amazing!! Real pizza napoletana 💖 The staff nice and friendly ! Prices are super affordable ✨✨ For sure I will be back and do not forget on Mondays pizza Margherita is only $6.00
If you happen to be in Miami Beach and craving some gourmet Peruvian food w/out extravagant prices, come to Cvi.che 105! From traditional dishes to specialized ceviches, a full service bar, offering traditional and unique drinks to delicious desserts, your experience will be memorable. It’s been almost a year since I was last here and the incredible dining experience starts and ends with exceptional service and that’s where our server Jose comes in, extremely knowledgeable, courteous and attentive. The dining star was the Fruto del Mar ceviche, no words can properly describe it, maybe sublime. For non-seafood diners, there are chicken, steak and vegan dishes, lots to choose from. The ambiance is always enjoyable, whether you’re dining inside or al fresco! Again, thanks Jose for your perfect service, keep up the great work.
We were served by Juliana who was super helpful with our gluten allergies and made good recommendations. We had the massive lava bowl which was perfect for sharing as well as quesadillas and steak. The quesadillas are plenty for a main course and we all enjoyed our meal. Service is great and it’s the price you pay here as most meals are on the more expensive side in this area. Great setting and friendly staff, give it a whirl!
Visited Cafe Americano to get breakfast before we boarded our cruise. The staff was very helpful and switched some of the TVs so we could watch Wimbledon when we asked. The food selection is good, but the prices are a tiny bit expensive for some of the diner-style food. However, the tuna tartare was amazing and the service was great!
We had a great time at the Ole Ole steakhouse. The waitress was so nice and gave recommendations for which options we may like. The portions are huge and we could have had the starters as our whole meal! The meat platter was excellent and we shared that between two, along with a few sides as if we had ordered a main course each, it would have been too much. The steak was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was relaxed and chilled with no pressure to rush our meal. We were so tired as we adjusted to the time zone that we couldn't stay as long as we would have liked. We definitely be back if we return to Miami.
I ve been here with my girlfriend. We are both italians so our expectations are always very high when we hear of italian restaurants abroad. But we have been incredibly surprised from the quality of the food. We took a spaghetti pomodoro (served in a cheese wheel) and a large pizza. We could immediately tell the products were fresh and of high quality. Service was great and the server was very kind.
Very attentive staff made sure we had everything we wanted without hovering or being intrusive. Potatoes that came with the ham and cheese omelet were extra tasty, but all the food was good. Location was excellent for people watching with a pleasant breeze. Definitely a positive experience!
We visited Habitat for breakfast on all three mornings of our stay in 1 Hotel South Beach, as our room rate included breakfast there. The buffet breakfast was truly excellent; staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Madai at the Omelette stand made the most delicious omelettes and was so cheerful and friendly - a real credit to the restaurant. Geraldo our server was also a delight to meet - he couldn’t do enough to make us feel relaxed and to ensure everything was just right. Breakfast is for us, our favourite meal of the day, and Habitat was a great part of our holiday.
My family loves sushi but is pretty picky. We have 100s of sushi places in Los Angeles to chose from! Hoshi sushi had good food at resasonable prices. Everything we ate was good. Liked the tuna, octopus, and soft shell crab rolls. .. . The chicken Terriaki is different but very good; the sauce was light, not thick and heavy. Its a very casual place, which was just fine for us. Friendly service too. I would go again.
It started with hearing Sergio from our hotel balcony, singing and welcoming patrons walking by. Out server, Yamilla, was very sweet and knowledgeable with wine recommendations to pair with our [delicious] meals. Top notch service and delicious food/drink. A must try in you’re near Espanola Way.
For two of us, we had the 1/2 chicken with rice and salad, hamachi tiraditos, and drinks. Everything was delicious! The chicken was tender and super flavorful. It also comes with a cart of sauces, which were very unique and an excellent addition but actually not even needed given how flavorful the chicken was alone. We loved the rice and salad as sides. The hamachi was also exquisitely prepared, though as expected with hamachi the portion is on the smaller side. This is a dish prepared by the sister restaurant next door, CVI.CHE 105, which we also love, and think that the ceviche dishes may be a better bang for your buck if you are looking for fish. For drinks, we had a piscojito, which was excellent, and based on a recommendation by the staff, we had a drink not on the menu, the Emborracharme (as of May 2022, $16.95) which was phenomenal and super refreshing — we highly recommend giving it a try!
While in Miami recently my husband and I heard about Strawberry Moon from a friend, so I made an online brunch reservation. We felt special from the first hello at the front desk all the way through navigating our way to the rooftop terrace and beyond. The design throughout the entire property is exciting and beautiful. There are great touches of Art Deco design mixed with contemporary whimsy everywhere. The library is an absolute mood! The terrace dining area is covered and cool with good music and a great vibe. Our server Julia was super friendly and helped us navigate the Mediterranean menu options - even the menus are cute! I highly recommend everything we had: Moon Bread, Moroccan Shashuka, Moon Burger, and Sheftalia (lamb & pork sausage), and the Chocolate Babka French Toast. Nick, the bartender, personally helped with cocktail suggestions - the “French Kiss” is a gin based cocktail to die for - Nick carefully explained the drink and how it was made along with other suggestions. I was dying to see the swim club so Nick introduced us to Kelly, the manager, and she happily gave us a great tour of the beautiful pool, cabana, and bar areas. We truly appreciate Nick, Julia, and Kelly's time and attention to detail. The quality of the personnel the hotel hires is a reflection on the hotel overall and we were highly impressed by those individuals. We look forward to the full experience on our next trip to Miami. Thank you for making our brunch and day exceptional!
We wandered around ocean Avenue to find a seafood house. We ended up at ocean Avenue due to the atmosphere and paella. Our meal was delicious. Alex gave us excellent recommendations for the seafood linguini and the mixed trio (steak and lobster) and the Greek salad Overall we had a great experience. It stated to get a little loud on the road around 630/7 but it is all about the environment. Alex also changed the TV and put on our favorite football game !! Thanks Alex !!
Best of the Best in South Beach Miami Santorini By Georgios is a hidden gem of South Beach. It offers heart-felt hospitality, beautiful Greek Isles ambience, family friendly atmosphere, and tried and true classics menu at a still affordable price. If you are looking for experimental cuisine, white glove service, and adults-only environment this might not be your choice. But if you are looking for lasting memories, great welcome, a home away from home, and grandma approved taste this restaurant is impossible to beat. Georgios never fails to welcome his guests in person and always adds a small treat “on the house” to the order. Truly heart felt! This was our second year in South Beach and we knew where we would want to go! Big thanks to Maitre d’ Ms. Ming Wang and our servers Vladimir, Dimitrius, Flaka, Christina, and all the chefs and sous chefs who work tirelessly to make us feel at home!
We spent a lovely diner at this place. The food was delicious and fresh, the waitresses thoughtful and friendly. The pizza was authentic european style with a delicious crispy dough and better than many others we had before.
Di Mauro`s in Miami Beach is a great place to go for delicious and flavorful Italian food in a cool and relaxed atmosphere. I have been impressed with everything that they have available here. The staff here is very accommodating and makes sure that you have a good meal.
Food was amazing and not as expensive as I thought it would be. I’d say it’s fairly priced for the quality of the dishes, location of the restaurant, and the atmosphere. The set up is very comfortable and elevated. The outdoor covered bathrooms were an interesting feature that I enjoyed experiencing. Our server made us feel very welcome, a stark contrast from another well known seafood restaurant in Miami. I ordered the chef’s choice of sashimi and nigiri and it was perfect. The edamame was also a great starter. Very enjoyable, I would go again!
This was such a pleasant little restaurant. The food and drinks were good; the food felt very homey. We tried the mango and passion fruit mojitos, grilled octopus ap-petizer, and grilled salmon and lomo salteado main courses. The lomo salteado reminded me of my father's cooking so that was neat. The salmon was perfectly grilled and the mashed potatoes delicious. For dessert we had the tres leches which was delicious too. The employees/servers were all really kind. For Miami Beach, the prices were reasonable and there was a parking garage nearby that also had reasonable prices. Overall, would recommend this restaurant for a nice lunch and photo ops after a beach day.
Last year we ate lunch at the Espanola Way location of this restaurant. We were pleased to find that they now have a location on Ocean Drive where the sun and ocean breezes add to the experience. I enjoyed a stunningly tasty Mexican Shrimp Salad and my wife enjoyed the tortilla soup. A good mojito and margarita were also served, I thought that the Cinco Leches dessert was overly sweet (a rare miss for the group ). We received wonderful service from a young woman who surprised us by saying she had only been employed at the restaurant for about a week.
Mercato della Pescheria is located on Espanola Way, which is a fun street mainly lined with Italian restaurants; kind-of a mini-little Italy in Miami Beach. There are lights in the trees and the whole street is beautiful and lively with a "feel good" vibe. Even if you don't eat on Espanola, you should take a walk on it. My wife had the linguine scampi with gluten-free pasta (penne) and I had the tortellini al prosciutto. Both were excellent. The provide bread for the table, which was very nice. The service was good, but not great. Like many other restaurants on Miami Beach, they include a 20% service charge on the bill.
I made the mistake of coming for brunch during super bowl weekend BUT definitely well worth the traffic I sat in LOL. Street parking is usually a bit tough to find around brunch time, but there is a garage nearby which is always convenient. Although me and my girls were a bit late to our reservation the host was extremely sweet and accommodating! She even joked about the traffic. Our server was equally amazing!! We didn’t need much convincing when it came to 2 hours bottomless drinks. She was on it. It was game over when she started bringing us carafs of mimosas! Thanks girl! The drinks were great, the food was pretty good too (just needed some salt and pepper).
We wanted something casual, because we were at a conference, and we really were hoping to enjoy something a little less upscale, but with excellent food! And, we came to the right place. Pros: We liked the atmosphere of this restaurant and resort better than the one that we were staying at! It truly felt like a resort. Beachy and fun and very tropical! The happy hour specials were delightful, and they certainly helped save on the budget. Miami Beach is an expensive destination, so the specials were welcome on the wallet. I tried both the sunrise and sunset special drinks. I wish I had snapped a photo, because one was orange and one was blue, both beautiful. We also got the happy hour wings, and I ordered the two dollar oysters. I would’ve ordered another dozen, but my dinner companions only had one appetizer, and I didn’t want to hold up the meal. My main meal was the wild tuna tartare, and it was so fresh. Honestly the best I’ve ever had, and I have been to tartar bars! The server was knowledgeable and friendly but not pushy. I deeply dislike when I ask a server what their favorite menu item is, and they say something like “I don’t eat here“ but she was quick to say that the tuna tartare was really the way to go. When it arrived, we all agreed that I “won” dinner! Her recommendation was on-point, and it was fresh and beautiful and a very large portion. The salmon pizza was also beautifully flavored. Cons: The pasta fra diavola was OK but nothing to write home about. I would’ve liked to see a few more happy hour drink options. Apart from the two aforementioned cocktails, there was a rosé and a draft beer, but it would’ve been nice to have more. One white wine special and one red wine special and one sangria special would be a nice addition.
What a surprise! Had no idea what we were getting into when we sat down. Service was impeccable. Great food deliciously (perfectly) prepared. White table cloths. Fine dining atmosphere with outdoor dining tastefully decorated for Christmas. Our waiter was a delight. Best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had (we ordered the salmon and asparagus). My Prosecco came in a beautiful wine glass (as I asked for) and was only $10. We were shocked when we saw the bill. So inexpensive for the fresh and expertly prepared food we ate and the perfectly concocted cocktails we consumed. Great music. Great atmosphere. This is a five-star restaurant with three star prices and if you don’t check it out you’re missing out. Thank you!!!!
Miami was our last stop on a road trip on the east coast. Walking up and down south beach we found a lot of the restaurants were very touristy and expensive with perhaps not the greatest quality. A quick search online and we found a highly rated Italian - Limoncello. Upon arriving we were shown right away to our table, noticing Italians being seated to their tables (good sign already). Bread and water were brought right away but we were given plenty of time to peruse the menu. We had a great waiter called Quido, who was very friendly and funny! He recognised our accents, had a chat about difference places in England and told us of how he lived and spent time there. The manager too was very friendly, talking about football and could even seen the Italian heritage in my girlfriend! I had the Pappardelle Funghi E Tartufo and my girlfriend had the Fettuccine Alfredo, both were beautifully cooked and seasoned, it wasn't long before our plates were empty! For dessert we had 'the best tiramisu in Miami' - we agreed with this statement :) Overall a must stop when in Miami for some real authentic Italian food and atmosphere!
This was hands down some of the best pizza we’ve ever had!! The dough was fresh you could tell it was homemade. The service was amazing she brought out our drinks and pizza at the same time so that our drinks weren’t warm by the time our pizza was done. She asked us how it was, brought us plates and extra napkins, etc. Very very good place to get affordable and delicious pizza!!!
We had a lovely lunch today! The atmosphere was wonder and our server Belen was so sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. My boyfriend and I had tacos and a couple of drinks. The tacos were delicious and very flavorful and the drinks were big and tasty! I would definitely recommend going to this for a quick bite to eat!
First of all, all of the amazing servers and staff that we encountered spoke Italian(my apologies if some of them were not speaking Italian) The atmosphere was so cute and there was great music where we were sitting outside. Lorenzo and Michael were amazing!! The entire staff worked together and made our experience awesome! I’ve never been out to eat anywhere and had such incredible service. Our table was always cleared of any debris or all dishes before our next meal came out or almost immediately after, I mean it was just amazing! And not to mention the food! My husband had the shrimp and chicken Alfredo and I had the Scottish salmon! Muaaahhh! They treated us amazingly and we looked out for them as well. I would highly recommend anyone to come here it is very pricey but it’s an amazing date!! Thank you guys!!
Everything about our experience was wonderful - the service is friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. Our water was consistently refilled, the food was delivered promptly and our waitress inquired about how we liked our meal. The food was delicious - appetizers and entrees alike. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated with a slightly busy but clean aesthetic - although they have music playing, it wasn't so loud as to be intrusive and instead added to a fun and upbeat vibe.
My husband surprised me with this restaurant on the first night of our trip. We’ve been to Miami Beach several times and always enjoy the Lincoln mall area. We had a reservation for later but on the off chance we could be seated, went early and they were able to accommodate us outside. Decor was nice drinks were tasty. We consider ourselves guacamole aficionados and their recipe did not disappoint! Unfortunately, the nachos that went with it alternated between crispy and gummy. Once we were able to get the attention of our server, we brought this to him and he apologized saying they needed to cook longer and he would let the kitchen know. Subsequent batches were only slightly improved. The salsas that came were delicious. Once our food finally came, after what seemed like a bit too long of a wait, (the waiter did stop by once to say he would check on what was taking so long) I enjoyed my shrimp fajita and my husband seemed to like his tacos however when they came out, he said they weren’t very warm. Overall, we might try the spot again but with so many to choose from, it will be pushed down on the list. Noteworthy: we passed the location on South Beach which was set up for outdoors and looked absolutely adorable with the decor!
The food is amasing!!! The best restaurant in Miami! Miliven is so nice and helpful when choosing food - she helped us choose tradiotional Mexican food and we really enjoyed it. The prices are more than fair for what you get - we ate Quesabirria (amazing ingredients out of which you make your own taco) and Cochinita pibil (someting like quesadilla but much better). Worth every cent!
Katsuya is a casual elegant restaurant serving Japanese and Sushi cuisine located in South Beach, Miami at the SLS Hotel. I frequently visit this restaurant. In terms of variety, the menu offerings are plentiful and unique, compared to similar venues, serving this style of food at a commensurate price point. We ordered several pieces of nagiri and sashimi, several speciality rolls, and omakase. which were all very good. Customers can expect to pay roughly over a hundred per person, for the omakase and roughly sixty dollars per person without. Portion size is a bit small for the cost and restaurant tier. Considering these factors, as well as the quality and presentation of food, the restaurant met my expectations. Everything was cooked to order. Beverage wise, we tried the Jasmine Margarita, the Katsuya Fresh and the Pacific Paloma, which were all very good. Drinks were appropriately priced. During our most recent visit, we did make reservations in advance, and it took approximately 0-5 minutes to be seated. Drinks came out fast. Appetizers came out fast. Main courses came out fast. The serving staff was attentive and timely. The atmosphere is eclectic and moody, and the overall design of the restaurant is cosmopolitian/trendy which suits the intended brand identity and is unique for the cuisine style. Regarding ambiance, the restaurant is dimly lit and the noise level is loud. It is a good place for large groups. Scale wise, tables are spread out within one dining room, lending itself to the restaurant’s coveted, swanky feel. Overall, I would recommend and anticipate coming back again.
We have been at Italian Trattoria the first time on December 2020 and since then we have our Italian breakfast only here. They use only top ingredients and all the staff members are professional and positive. Vivian will make you feel at home and will be able to advise you in the best way. P.S. For lovers of authentic espresso, cappuccino and latte macchiato, thanks to their "very special machine" and the blends used, Italian Trattoria in Collins Avenue it is certainly the best place to go in Miami Beach.
This is a small supermarket and then some. It is located in Mid-Beach on Collins Ave and serves the local residents and tourists. Look at it as a much smaller Publix or Shoprite. You can buy veggies, milk, fruits, pasta, hot food, beer etc, like in any other supermarket, but the choices are more limited. However, you can also get car fluids, wrenches, paint brushes, swim wear, beach toys, cosmetics, stationary, and children’s toys. In other words, almost everything that a tourist (or even a local) might need in a pinch. Very convenient. It’s main drawback however, is that it is tight and cramped, dimly lighted and a bit “dingy inside”. Its hot food counter, for me, was not that inviting. Prices also were not bargains (except Cuban bread loaf for $1) but manageable. It overall, is very convenient and necessary in the neighborhood.
