Why are Ryanair still selling tickets?

Excuse my naivety but why are Ryanair still advertising ticket sales on the TV when thousands of flights have/are being cancelled?

Because the cancellations were only a small part of their business - they have 200+ planes to fill each day

They cancelled 2% of their flights. That's hardly a reason for the largest lcc in the world (400 aircraft) to stop selling tickets.

They didn't go out of business like Monarch. They just cancelled a *relatively* small proportion of their flight on certain routes for certain dates. I've just bought flights in the sale as I was happy with the prices.

It's sort of like saying Ed Sheeran should never sell tickets again because he broke his arm and had to cancel some shows...

They are still in business, they are still flying more than 90% of their services, and there will come a point when their current cancellation issues will come to an end. So why, exactly, shouldn't they be advertising and selling flights?

Because they have hundreds of thousands of seats on thousands of flights to sell still ?

They haven't ceased trading :)

I dont believe flight cancellation is an ingoing issue. It was a one off because they messed up their pilot rotas.

The Ryanair pilots based at Madrid have rejected MoL's pay increase 80% to 20%. If other bases vote the same way, there may be more cancellations ahead.

It's not MOLs pay increase they've rejected. It's Ryanairs pay increase.

Because most of their flights are still operating!
