What is the best site to book cheap airline tickets?is kayack decent ?
you don't normally book on kayak. You use kayak, google flights, Skyscanner to compare flights and prices and if the link is to the airline then please use it. Please try and avoid booking from a 3rd party if possible
And what does best mean?
matrix is great but if someone is new to flying then going from there to an actual ticket is not the easiest jump-=- Google flights uses the same info as matrix -- same company but again if one does not get tempted to click on shonky 3rd parties -- but directly to airline sites -- then one is ok
I look on kayack and it says 660 for the same flight I look at the airline website it's like 1700 for the same flight 🤔
I doubt that if an airline is advertising a fare for 1700 (which currency - $, £ or € ?) that a third party would have it for 660. It would have to be a fare in a different class at that much difference.
Where are you looking to fly from and to, and which dates are you looking at? Then regulars can guide you.
From dc to Geneva switzerland
June 26 thru july 5 or 6 this year
iceland air or turkish is close to 950 for those dates you could look at airport closer to Geneva and see if it drops a bit
Maybe have a read of some of the hundreds and hundreds of posts on here from people who have booked tickets through a dodgy third party and have had problems and then decide?
You can fly direct to Zurich on the 26th and back on the 5th July for $900 US. there are a direct trains to Geneva in 3 hours but the icelandair flight might be your best bet at $1015
