fare classes between partner airlines

Hello all,

Is anyone familiar with how cabin/fare classes align between the Delta/KLM/Air France partners? For example, I'm looking at a trans-atlantic flight (AF3581) on the Air France site, which is operated by Delta. The Air France site has "Economy" tickets at half the price as the same flight's lowest fares on the Delta site, but I'm not clear which fare class I would actually be buying.

Delta's site shows 4 options available for this flight (Airbus A330-300):

Basic Economy

Economy (main cabin)

Comfort Plus

Delta One

But for this same flight on the Air France site, only 2 options are available:

Economy

Business

Would booking this flight from the Air France site be buying Delta's Basic Economy (no seat assignment or upgrades allowed), or main cabin Economy seat (standard options allowed)?

Thanks,

hauser

There should be some information when you book it online before you come to the payment page.

If not, then call the airline.

Ah, good call. After advancing deeper into the booking process, it shows fare code V. On Delta's site, that is indeed the basic economy lowest level. Thanks!
