Caribbean - Best recommendation for 5 star all inclusive?

Planning a honeymoon for November or December. Really having a hard time finding what we’re looking for.

Looking for one of the Caribbean islands. (Anguilla, Turks, Barbados, BVI, Aruba, etc)

Any recommendations for an all inclusive resort that offers a Villa or suite with a pool or big plunge pool?

(So we can have the amenities of all inclusive but feel like we’re in our own place)

I know of one lve visited, a spacious private villa with its own plunge pool and private garden.. lts one of the Honeymoon Villas at the All inclusive Iberostar Hotel complex at Playa Paraiso in the Riviera Maya on the Caribbean side.

You can read the Reviews here on Tripadvisor and view photos, read the list of amenities by going to the actual Reviews section of this website...Its a great idea to look at YouTube, there are good videos there of these private Honeymoon Villas so you can see very well what they look like. Actually, YouTube is an excellent way to see what many hotels look like, they have countless videos uploaded of most hotels

Also, since this is a Worldwide Forum, members reading here are not Experts for every destination globally.( No Tripadvisor Forum has that)

For proper feedback its recommended to ask about Anguilla directly on the actual Tripadvisor Anguilla “ Destination” Forum itself, BVI on the Tripadvisor BVI Forum, Barbados on the Barbados Forum, etc ...

All locations worldwide have their very own TA Forums / Followers and local Experts who give advice daily, Plus they would know the local COVID protocols ...

In addition , All of those destinations also have a hotels section ( with Amenities/Reviews etc) listed right those Forums

Safe travels

FWIW - none of the islands you've listed are really known for AI resorts - they may have a few, along with some resorts that offer an AI add-on, but they're definitely not known for the larger AIs with all the amenities, etc. There's a Sandals on Barbados that may have what you're looking for, but again - it's Sandals, wildly overrated and overpriced, but there's that.

You'll likely want to look more at places like Jamaica, DR, MX, maybe Antigua for large AIs that also have privacy or rooms with private pools, and all the amenities and food/drink options, entertainment of an AI.

Take a look at Unico in MX, Secrets Cap Cana, Rosewood Mayakoba Riviera Maya, etc. Maybe ask directly on their specific Destination Forums for recommendations..

For instance, here in St Lucia, there are some stunning amazing properties with private pools plus community/resort experience that have AI options - but they're not the large AI property with multiple restaurants, bars, activities, tastings, dancing, shows, etc. They're small boutique places with more intimate settings, delicious food, personalized service, etc.,while three meals, drinks, etc covered by AI - but not the all you can eat/drink, so to speak. Calabash Cove, Stonefield Estates, Jade Mountain, Sugar Beach, Ti Kaye, Cap Maison, Windjammer Landings, and so forth - amazing, but not what anyone would consider AI resorts, in the typical sense.. and of course, there's Sandals here with rooms that match what you're after, so to speak, but again - Sandals, wildly overpriced and overrated for what they market and actually deliver.

So, it really does matter what type of experience you're after - are you wanting all the bells and whistles of a larger AI Resort that also has private rooms/cottages with private pools? You'll really be much more limited to places like MX, DR, Jamaica, and Antigua, mainly..

Something to consider, for sure. Good luck!!

I'll throw in LeSport/BodyHoliday in St Lucia. A largish mainly adult only AI that has a couple rooms/villas with private pools and access to the entire resort - includes a spa treatment daily, amazingly good food and drinks for an AI, great service, loads of wellness activities plus typical AI stuff, etc. I is mainly adults only, but they do allow down to 12 (16?) A coupe weeks a year..

Have been to sandals and Iberostars. both recommended. Honeymooned Barbados many moons ago, you can get a tour around the island, do a snorkel tour to 3 shipwrecks or do nothing and live it up on the beach.

Interesting history. Depending on your budget could get casita w your own plunge pool. Good luck!

Check out some of the Secrets resorts! They are really nice and adults only!

Talk to a travel agent who can find a resort that will best fit your needs.

Depending on your budget then there's lots of choice from more affordable private pools in AI resorts of Dominican Republic to eye watering prices in places such as Jade Mountain Club in St Lucia.
