Arriving into gard du nord, with baby, need taxi!

I'm arriving into GDN at 11pm with a baby and luggage. I need to get to a paris suburb si looking to take a cab (metro its a big no no!). I have heard that the queue for taxis outside the station can be very long. Any advice of how to have a cab waiting for me when I get there?

The taxis are quite frequent, so you shouldn't have any problems or undue delays. I have only found long queues at rush hour and the longest wait has been approx 20mins.
